Bupe Alcohol and bupe?

Hey guys,

I'm on 1mg of suboxone, is it true that alcohol will make me sick if I drink it while bupe is in my system?
 
I have been on subs for almost a year and a half now and have drank maybe 10 times since being on it daily. I havent ever gotten sick but i have noticed that it is not as pleasurable as itt used to be, nor does it taste near as good (not that it ever was delicious). i cant say this happens to everyone on sub maintanence, but i dont like drinking anymore and i think its from subs. but no i havent ever gotten sick like Antabuse does. Just my .02
 
I have been on sub for a good 7months and drinking seems the same to me. I never liked alcohol that much anyways. Don't get me wrong I like to drink, its just nothing special for me and doesn't hit the spot ya know?
 
I personally have no problem drinking booze and being on suboxone, and I know a lot of people are fine with it too.. However, it still really isn't recommended.. just like drinking alcohol with any other CNS depressant. If you're going to do it, certainly try and keep it to a minimum.
 
When I'm on suboxone booze hits me extra hard. I've gotten sick quite a few times b/c it took WAY LESS alcohol for me to get drunk. This is especially true for the times when I was actually trying to get fucked up on something, so I would take half a strip and drink.

Now i'm on subs daily and rarely drink. I am more sensitive to alcohol on them, however its not really a huge difference at the dose I am now.

I've never had a problem with it but had always been a heavy drinker and opiate abuser, so the two went hand in hand for me. If you're not a heavy boozer, don't try to experiment by drinking a whole fifth with your daily dose of bupe. Start out with a sixer.
 
When I was on Suboxone maintainence I noticed ethanol gave me all of the side effects, and hardly any of the euphoria.

Once I became dopesick, a litre of vodka would feel like a good shot of dope given enough time. This spawned my newest addiction.

I suppose it gave me a good lesson in how much of a walk in the park opioid withdrawals are - regardless, I noticed a very large difference between how alcohol affected me while on and off Suboxone.
 
I havent enjoyed alcohol much since I started doing opiates in general. Suboxone is no exception, i don't like drinking at all anymore.
 
i've fucked with subs a few times (mainly when a good friend will spare me one when i can't find/afford OC for a day and they are down for a trade for grass or something). i drank with them every time i used them, though, and i never got sick from it..

personally, as a daily opiate user, i LOVE drinking, as well. but i live in a state where only 3.2 beer is available at the corner stores so i sip on those throughout the day. hard to get drunk off of em. i feel like i am missing out if i don't have some beers with my opi's, though.

but yes i HATE being drunk. i have not been drunk in probably 8 months. such a filthy, dirty high. gimmie my roxanne and my purple bud.

Yeah, I never had much of a problem drinking on sub....It's supposed to be bad, so IDK....

Benzos and sub fucked me up, but I never had a huge benzo tolerance, so.....Be careful and use good judgement...

CLOSE! i'm in Oklahoma! (i'm pretty sure the amount of FAT PEOPLE in oklahoma results from the 3.2 beer. everyone has to drink twice as much. i always use pretty good judgement. i know my tolerance and my limits. =)
 
last time i was on bupe i drank heavily everyday... im an alcoholic after all... the only thing it changed for me was waking up feeling like shit, taking my sub and feeling better an hour later... then commenced drinking

it never seemed to affect the effects for me... felt the same, and i drank the same...

not a single drink since i started sub this time round though....218 days clean and sober
 
pretty much every one of my heroin addict friends now have aversions to alcohol including myself, in fact everytime i drink(which is never since xmas 2011)i get very sick and last time ended upp in the hospital with a migrane. but this seems to be common with opiate addicts with the exception of some old timers i see at the clinic who get breathalysed everytime they come cuz they are total alchies now...go figure.

haha i remember tulsa and having to buy our beer warm because only the 3.2 was cold, they also had this beer minnesotas best, im from minnesota and i have never seen it here, anyway we have 3.2 as well only its just in grocery stores...thats all.
