according to the video in
this link, next year's XX3 are going to be the last numbered AJ sneaker. They're going to focus on the new players and their needs.
fudge i say! i reckon they should start again at aj1 and rerelease it redesigned with the current tech capabilities. the designs are timeless. it would do them an honour of a tech upgrade every 23 years.
according to the vid they're going to do the end of the colourways bombardmend which they've been doing these passed few years and make the classics harder to get. I'm both happy and sad with this. I'm glad that there aren't going to be 15 colours of each shoe every couple of months, each looking better than the last so a collector at heart like myself doesn't live in a perpetual state of heartbrokeness at not being able to even remotely afford em. But then i was really looking forward to some new VI black/infrared or even the "holy grail" carmines.
apparantly to send them off, next year, they will be releasing 11 special #23 packs. Each pack containing 2 pairs of shoes who's corresponding number equate to 23. SO, there'll be a 1/22, 2/21, 3/20, 4/19 ~~~ 11/12. eleven packs all up. Apparantly they'll all be in the original colours.
23 shoes.... one year. yeah, i'd like to see how i'ma justify that to my wife.
oh, and the rarest public released aj's (240 limit) was recently released exclusively in china.
