Bluelighter
I sit in darkness, but I know there is light.
A desklamp, a rooflight, stay untouched despite
My mounting confusion, my absent delight.
For in this darkness I can spy
That light has shunned truth, such forgotten beguile
A seductress of chocolate, with kiss of cyanide.
But I am a baby, an innocent child
And truths as such are too potent for the mild
So I move to the switch, my delight revived.
