Age of first heroin dependence

At what age were you first addicted to heroin, by your circumstances of addiction?

vicodin, oxycontin--bezos when desterpate for 2 years. finally switched over to heroin because it's a lot cheaper than said pills. Heroin fling lasted about 8 months, and now I'm on MMT occasionally taking benzos or smoking weed for that added buzz. It may seem odd going on MTT after such a "short" duration of heroin abuse, but I'm 3 years heavy opiate dependant. And when it comes down to it, Heroin, Oxy, Fent--well even hydro's + a little benzos are all the same to me. Junk = Junk = Junk. No matter what the RoA is. I've seen people kick gram a day addictions IV, while people who pop 25 Norcos a day just can't seem to quit. So go figure. They are all poisons to me.

Rx and street heroin are just different paths to the same desitination. I think that's what a lot of people fail to realize. Junkies tend to look down on the pill poppers, and the pill poppers generally look down on the junkies because they're dirty. Well let me tell you guys, I can switch back from one to the other no problems. It just depends on what I'm getting cheaper.
 
played around with opiates from 17-18 years old.

dope sick from OC around 18/19 friend brought over some heroin.

began sniffing

3 or 4 months later daily IV user


the fucked up part was during the months between sniffing and shooting, i was watching all my friends ruin their lives and i said to myself "i'm glad i'm not like that" and giving myself a million excuses to use as often as i wanted.

then boom almost 2 years later (after daily IV use), i had fucked up my life WAYYYYYY beyond the people who introduced me to heroin.

it took alot of hard work, but i recently reached 6 months completely clean and sober. and my life is crazy good.
 
the door of opiates/addiction (not heroin.. i didnt vote k ;p ) was opened for me when i was in my EARLY 16's .. i guess it's been close to two yrs then ;p

Come on, I know there must be more than 29 drug culter browsers that have been hooked.

FYI: Drug dealers in Philly are offering "election discounts." I'm not sure what politician is behind this, but I'm on the case.

gotta be the best, and well said post that i was thinking myself partly, and partly jus gave me a new outlook on opiates, that ive ever read on here since ive been a BL user. lol. well damn said dude.

o yea. bout the post, i cant even say i do heroin. the only time ive done it was when i got ripped off thinking i was getting some opium, and didnt find out it was black tar heroin until after i smoked it (shrugs) o well. what can i say?
 
17/the right way.

i slammed coke from 15-17, then in the summer '96. i couldnt find any yay and H was available. started using to get 'well' in july, iv. all tar and ballons, i have never heard of ballons since. ballons were tar cooked with i think some kind of lactose powder, and then sold in a crumbly rock form, wrapped tight in a small balloon. my friends didnt like them as much i think because there wasnt as much of a rush. i would prefer them occasionally because of how clean, and evenly distributed the 'warmth' was. they also lasted longer to me.

i havent used heroin in 7 years.
