Age Is Just a Number Right Or Not?

As the saying goes, 'Age is just a number" and as long as the person is 18 and older, you are free to date one another right? Well I've heard that someone 18-21 dating someone 25 or older its like saying that 18-21 year old is a teen and too young for you etc. But yet I've heard 18-21 year old's dating older people, 25 and older, to even 30 and older, but isn't that a bit much? How would you feel if you were 25-35 dating someone 18-21? Would you be fine by it, or just say age is just a number.
 
different people are different. age is a number, some older people are like children. maturity and life goals is the issue
 
Anyone who's putting down someone dating 18-21 year olds is just jealous that they're not getting any action from 18-21 year olds.
 
Just keep it legal. But love knows no boundaries. And age shouldn't matter. I mean I'm sure your parents have a big age gap. Most do.
 
Well 'keeping it legal' is very far removed from what's actually right and wrong. 20 and 17 in some US states? Illegal but definitely not wrong. 50 and 12 in some Mexican states? Legal but wrong.
 
My lady is almost 10 years older than me, but she's very young personality-wise, and even looks like she's in her 20s. Yeah, age is just a number.
 
20 and 17 flies here. I am not ashamed to admit I was 20 and dated a 17 year old. Her parents tried to get us to marry and her father called the law about six months in and they said he couldn't do anything.

I personally don't date much younger, I did date a chick who was 25 this last year and I am 30.

Also lost my V card to a woman who was 40 when I was a teen.

I suppose it depends on what you are in it for. I would say both parties being attracted and not money being the issue but a lot of younger people dating older have serious parent issues.
 
It's just not just a number. There are biological processes that happen in every person and age tracks these changes fairly well. A person who is in their late teens / early twenties, even if they are very mature for their age, is still biologically going to be a teen / young adult. Their brains will still be developing and they will have limited experience in life from which to draw from. Even if the lives they have lived have been quite varied and interesting, they will still have far less experience with the world than an older person. On the opposite end of the spectrum, older people will have fully matured brains and years more experience to draw upon. Also, for women, they will begin nearing the end of their reproductive years, which brings with it a unique set of needs. In this case, it definitely matters which partner is older. As a younger guy, I was in a relationship with an older woman and it was fine for awhile -- that is until she got a bit older and it became clear that she would be close to menopause by the time I hit 30.

This was definitely true for me. I should note that the relationship actually worked wonders for me to get past those issues.
 
For the most part age is just a number, however even if both parties are of legal age, some instances are just like wow really??? And still perverted in some eyes..I won't lie I fall short on being judgemental at times..
