i know what we had
was nothing short of hell
but aside from every bad moment
from every tear i couldnt hold in
and all our apathy
we found a love so strong
that it couldnt be held together
for anything
the manipulation cant be denied
but im not sitting here today to place blame
im not standing this strong
because of utopian lies
i know your opinion of me
is low
but im not here to repair
times and words that cant be taken back
im here to say i miss having you around
your neglect made me tougher
your love taught me nothings certain
your apathy brought me to terms with myself
you broke my heart ten thousand times
while placing the blame
for every wrong path you chose
upon my shoulders
im sorry i had to break down so many times
to keep a hold of my sanity
while you took my dignity
down with you
while hurt is still standing beside us,
im standing here to say
for one heart felt apology
id do it all over again
cause a year and a half
after the aftermath
im still looking for peace in the storm
