Below is the list of ingredient and info on a blend that I have been loyal to for 3 years now. It is usually a one hitter quitter for me & blows any other synthetic blend I have smoked right out of the water. The high is not trippy like many others I have tried. That being said, I have a hard time believing the below ingredients could have such an intense effect. Then, being previously unfamiliar with opium, after my bro looked @ it and told me it looked and smelled like opium, I looked up opium and it does look exactly like it. It also has that "crackle" upon dragging that I also learned is characteristic of opium. I havent been able to find much on this blend or these particular ingredients, but is it really possible this stuff could be totally free of RC's/synthetics? And also, does anyone know of like a chemical analysis type website where you can mail a substance in and they will find out the contents of what u sent them? (sort of like the GCMS on the CSI shows does) I googled chemical analysis lab and a bunch of sites came up saying they will do this but I'm not sure how many are reliable or even legit. I would just like to do it out of curiosity to see what I am really smoking and if it doesn't cost like a thousand dollars.

AFGHAN INCENSE INGREDIENTS
Afghan incense is 100% organic herbal incense, produced in responsible manner.
Afghan incense is made using 25-30 ethnobotanical plant solid (resin) extract mix (combination of Betula utilis resin, Myraxylon Balsamum, Laurus nobilis etc.).
ADVANTAGES OF AFGHAN INCENSE
No solvents | No dangerous chemicals | No artificial flavors | No colorants
We assure full quality control of production process of every Afghan incense piece.
It’s true that this marvelous Afghan incense looks like real thing, but it has nothing to do with that.
Afghan incense 1g aroma power is equal to the strongest herbal incense 3g you have ever tried before.
Afghan incense feels and looks like real thing, but it`s not and it`s legal, though you will remember it`s strong aroma forever!
YOU DON'T REQUIRE ANY SPECIFIC LICENCE FOR SALE OF AFGHAN INCENSE
AFGHAN INCENSE IS LEGAL WORLDWIDE
AFGHAN INCENSE HAS HIGH CUSTOMER RETURN RATE

It's probably justanother synthetic cannabinoid, mixed with plant resins. The rule of thumb is that anything that is undeniably psychoactive and is sold as "legal incense" almost always ends up having a chemical that mimics cannabis in it.

I'm thinking that if it has that intense of an effect you might be right that it has something in it other than the listed ingredients - I'd be curious what that "etc" stands for. But I highly doubt it contains any opium. I would think sekio's guess is probably more likely. The listed ingredients are birch, myroxylon (they mis-spelled it) - also called Peru Balsam - and bay laurel. These are all trees/shrubs. Peru Balsam is sometimes used as an antibacterial, a cough suppressant or a perfume. Bay laurel is sometimes used in massage therapy for sore joints. But I don't know enough about them to know for sure whether smoking them could produce a high or not.

Yeah it would be nice to know what is really in it...I did some looking on those scientific names and found the same info as you...they are all trees, shrubs. I think betula utilis is lettuce!

Anyway...why bother advertising it as all natural? When most other incense companies don't go to the trouble to cover it up. I mean, they may not state the RC outright on the packaging lol but they don't go giving all these random plant names, and if u look in forums u can usually find out what synthetic cannibinoid a blend contains. This one is just SOOOOOOO different and more intense that any blend I've tried, even back in the JWH-018 days when I would buy blends like Mr. Nice guy and space, nothing matches this stuff.....very bizzare...I would love to be able to send it somewhere and have its TRUE contents analyzed!

Note: I just did some research on bay laurel (aka bay leaf or laurus nobilis) and I'd fin the following:
Bay leaves contain Eugenol which is a natural hepatoxic organic compound that can cause damage to the liver or dizziness in high doses. The leaves themselves are renowned for their fragrant smells. Bay leaves are best in soups, fish and meat dishes, and vegetables. However, they were also once worn by ancient Romans and Greeks as crown wreaths to distinguish "high" honor. Although a bay leaf may not offer the effect you're referring to, it is a well known ancient and "high"-ly useful antifungal and antibacterial due to it's "high" Eugenol content. Another source of Eugenol are Cloves, both bay leaves and cloves also act as an anti-inflamatory and work great for managing blood sugar.

Researching eugenol, I did find it is present in other plants that are sometime used recreationally or mixed with other stuff to get high. I do know that raw, fresh nutmeg is ingested has usually unpleasant pshycoactive and anitcholinergic type symptoms. From Wikipedia:

In 1829, the Czech physiologist Jan Evangelista Purkinje ingested three ground nutmegs with a glass of wine and recorded headaches, nausea, hallucinations and a sense of euphoria that lasted for several days.[11]
Harvard ethnobotanist Richard Evans Schultes and chemist Albert Hofmann, who discovered LSD, documented reports of nutmeg's use as an intoxicant by students, prisoners, sailors, alcoholics and marijuana smokers. In his autobiography, Malcolm X writes about taking nutmeg and other "semi-drugs" while serving time in prison.[11] A 1966 New York Times piece named it along with morning glory seeds, diet aids, cleaning fluids, cough medicine, and other substances as "alternative highs" on college campuses.

So I guess theres something maybe to the bay leaf, would have to be very highly concentrated though, and so far I have no clue about the other constituents or the "etc." part lol

This is the website you want.

It doesn't have to be an ecstasy tablet. It can be any sample. They're pretty reliable IMO.

Gonna move this over to Cannabis Discussion...They deal with synthetic cannabinoids/smoking blends. However this does flag as a substance ID thread (albeit an interesting one), which are against the rules. Try and keep discussion away from guessing what may be in this particular brand of 'incense'. The CD mods shall have the final word though.

When they test herbal blends like you have they almost always find there aren't the chemical markers associated with the herbs listed in the ingredients, suggesting they aren't being quite honest about the contents. It's usually synthetic cannabinoids sprayed on god knows what, with god knows what other by products from a crappy synthesis.
