affection: who shoves it away?

Falling in love really made me crave affection more as well.

This was it for me also, I use to shove it away because it made me feel uncomfortable.. but after loving someone so much; I'm much more open too it.. I can appear detached, but I really love physical affection.

I grew up in a cold family where affection was never displayed or encouraged, more of a best friends atmosphere.. so now I really enjoy it.

I see cheerio is giving us another lessson in ancient thread history, and I love it!

I'm highly affectionate with my girlfriends and pets. But, not at all with platonic friends or family, even if they are girls.

I just don't get it with some people. I see bf's and gf's standing side by side in the cool autumn weather and they only occasionally speak to each other, standing comfortably outside their personal space zones.

If I'm with someone, I wanna hold her, hold her hands, and kiss her (but I'm not for public displays of more sexual stuff like french kissing or butt, tit, cock, or thigh grabbing. That's private for me.)

I like physical and verbal affection anytime, all the time!

I like to hug my friends. New friends and old friends, I like to hug my friends and my mom. I like to hug my kids and grandkids. I don't like any other kind of affection.

No kissing. I hate movies that show kissing. Including porn movies. Just f already.

No holding hands. No walking arm in arm.

Hugs work for me and that's it.

To update my earlier post:
I haven't changed much. I enjoy getting off, and do so well enough on my own, but actual sexual contact is almost a turn-off past the make-out stage. The scents, the sensations, the heat--it's too real for TV, as a friend of mine would say. I can last a long time not because I'm good at sex, but because part of me doesn't want to be there, wonders how I got there, speculates on what new personal catastrophes await in the future, etc. Probably need to see a shrink about that...
