As long as you realize it was a mistake and learn from it you shouldn't worry.
Starting a methamp addiction is probably not the best way to combat depression and it seems like you realize this. If your depression is caused only by your ceasing of opiate use then you should just ride it out without the use of drugs. I have depression and I know the "drugs are bad McKay" response isn't particularly helpful but it is probably your best option.
Maybe try exercise or other distracting hobbies yadda yadda...
Agreed very much so. It will end, and you WILL get through this and YOU CAN beat it. It took me months to get back to normal, after battling withdrawals, anxiety and depression. Good news is, most of your WD symptoms with go away completely soon, at least the physical ones. Mentally however, you just need to give your brain a break. That's what I did. In about three months, you'll be laughing about all this. Nothing wrong with taking benzos temporarily until you get out of your rut, just make sure you keep those under control and take them no more than a few days at a time.
Like falsified said, just excersise. Eat healthy (plenty of red meats), drink orange juice and milk, definitely lots of water. Your body responds very well to a proper diet, and with excersise, the harder the human body works, the more beautiful it becomes.
Needless to say, it's not like you can never do drugs again, no one is saying that and you shouldn't feel that way. If you quit then great! If not, then just practice enjoying your habits in moderation. No one is perfect, everyone deals with struggle at some point in their lives.
You will get better if it is your willpower to do so, I am living proof of that. Keep your head up
