advice on tramadol

ive recently aquired some 50mg tramadol ive not had much experience with opiate based pain killers apart from taking diazepam on a hand full of occasions, never more than 5mg. im just wondering how much tramadol to to take to get a nice high? and would it safe to take diazepam with it?

i also have some 300mg gabapentin capsuals, are these any good?
 
I would only take 150mg of tramadol for your first time maybe even just 100mg. Go higher if you feel like you can but in my opinion tramadol sucks... I wouldn't even mess with it.
 
yeah I would agree with the 150 mgs. The first time couple times I tried tramadol it was amazing for me. Some people just like it, and ive messed around with hydrocodone and oxycodone too and the first big highs I got were compareable. After awhile you need to take like 400mgs to get a buzz plus they have a terrible withdrawl so if you take it spread it out.
 
I'd start with two and take another if you don't feel much from 100mg.
When I had no tolerance 150mg would make me feel nice, but I'd get super itchy and it'd make super tired... but a lot people say it gives them energy, so I don't know if it's just me or what...
 
Diazepam is a benzodiazepine, not an opioid.

Tramadol is a weak opioid but some love it. I'm one of those who don't find it particularly exciting. Puts me on edge, uncomfortably stimulates me. But you may like it, especially considering you haven't ever used opioids before. Give 100-150mg a try and see how you feel. For future refreance, as Cain said, diazepam is a benzodiazepine. Different class of drugs.
 
also just wanted to note this since no one else has stated it make sure you give it a good hour or two before you decide to take more as it does take a lot longer than normal opiates to take effect IMO
 
with that said, how long does tramadol usually take to kick in, and then how long does it last? (assuming the person has never used tram, and eats it on an empty stomach)
 
Haven't seen this asked yet and I feel like it's the first thing someone asking this question should be presented with:

What other medications are you taking / take regularly? Specifically any medications for depression or ADD.

Have you ever had a seizure?

This information is imperative when giving someone advice about taking tramadol. I see too many threads on here with people asking about Tramadol dosage and getting it without anyone asking for background info. That needs to stop. It's too risky to give advice without asking these questions first.

Just a thought.

For me it takes about an hour to an hour a half and they last a lot longer than most opiods do IMO i would say around 8 hours or so......however i never have taken trams without a tolerance to harder opiates
 
Tramadol took around 20 to 30 minutes for me. Yet I used a small dosage to help my withdrawl from oxycodone... I'm on an ssri so this was dangerous to do. I did have some problem with my breathing after but it wasn't too bad. Yet if you're on ssri's do not mess with it. What I did was super risky but my withdrawls told me fuck the consequences I'm just taking three.

Also the addiction with tramadol is not worth it. To be honest I never got high on it but I was doing much stronger pills even when I first started. Yet the high I've heard is good your first couple of times (if you haven't done stronger pills) but then after you end up having to take them to feel normal which doesn't even give you a high.

I have a half bottle of tramadol but all I'm going to do with them is flush all 41 of them down the toilet.
 
I found that tramadol sucks! i was on the 200mg for while did not give a high only made me tired and itchy! if you have not taken it before dont take more than 150mg because it effects everyone differently. peace.
 
Tramadol has been talked about ad nauseum in BDD lately, and it looks like the OP hasn't said anything since his original question. Please use the search engine when searching things like Tramadol dosages.

Also, Cane is right, diazepam isn't a painkiller or an opiate.
