Advice needed about mixing steroids with recreational drugs

Basically, a person I know, who is 15, has recently derailed a little and has just discovered the world of recreational drugs... She already seems to go mental on the stuff. However, in the past few days she's been diagnosed with anorexia (possibly due to drug use) and the doctor has prescribed steroids for her.

As it is someone I don't know particularly well (but means a lot to my girlfriend's family) I don't know what type of steroids she's been prescribed or what kind of recreational drugs she's taking, but I assume the recreational drugs will be mostly whatever is given to her. She's in with a relatively bad crowd as well, so we're not sure what class of drugs she's being exposed to, or what she even knows about the drugs she's taking.

She won't have told the doctor what other drugs she's taking, so she won't have any idea of the risks of mixing drugs. Which is why I'm asking if there are any dangers that I should alert someone to, as it isn't my place to say anything to her.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated :)

the steroids are being prescribed to hopefully increase her appetite....for a 15 year old female the dose would be extremely low

as for the problems between rec drugs and steroids, as with mixing anything there are potentially problems that could arise...it really depends on what and how much rec drugs she taking and the dose of the steroids and what steroids she's been prescribed as to just how high that risk is and what problems could be caused

I would say that if you know her family, mention it to one of them, or ask your girlfriend too, and have them talk to the doctor, with her being 15 there is no such thing as doctor-patient confidentiality, assuming this is in the US

No I live in the UK. I'm unsure on what kind of confidentiality she has with the doctor.

My girlfriend (and to a smaller level my girlfriend's mother) is aware, as she's the one who approached me about this. The main issue is that we just have no clue what she's taking or how much she's dosing. My girlfriend's step-father (whose daughter we're talking about) isn't taking it well and is trying to ignore the fact she's taking drugs, which is why I'm asking bluelight what we should be worried about so I can relay it to her family and let my girlfriend's step-dad decide how to deal with it.

I'm sure she has been prescribed a pretty low dose, but any information on the worst drugs to mix with steroids and just any possible dangers in general would be great.
I just feel I should offer some kind of advice from someone who knows the drug world, as the girl's dad knows very little.

I pm'd another buddy of mine on another board from the UK that would have a good idea about the doctor-patient confidentiality.

The things that need to be worried about are organ problems, increased blood pressure, etc. Basically whatever issues that should be worried about with rec drugs and steroids individually could be made worse by their interactions in the body, but this really dependent on what rec drugs she's taking. Marijuana for instance, isn't something that should really be worried about having adverse effects when mixed with steroids. But other harder drugs like x, coke, etc are things that should be worried about because of how they are processed and the other effects they cause, but again this could depend on how much and how often she is doing the drugs. For someone her age there is more of a risk anyway with steroids and rec drugs.

I still think the best bet is talk to her parents and have them talk to the doctor, if they know she is using drugs and let the doctor know, then he very well might come up with a different treatment from steroids. Keep in mind though, that with the low dose she is most likely on, there is a lower risk for any of this, but it is still a risk.

Steroids she would be taking would not be the steroids that are talked about here - likely megestrol as an appetite increaser.
