(Advice) How to have a beneficial LSD trip

Hello BLers and psych lovers alike, I'm here today to request advice on having a beneficial LSD trip.
Now before you scold and tell me to use the search bar, I've done LSD over 10 times, and have done limited research.

All this is about, is to give pointers on getting the most out of your trip
An example is mushrooms, some say take 5g in darkness, I'm wondering how this translates to LSD?

Do you guys recommend meditation in darkness, nature, etc. for the deepest experience.

I will be alone as I prefer tripping that way.

I've meditated on LSD and had a powerful experience, but it seems like I'm cheating the method.

Dose will be 2 hits of strong acid.

Thanks very much and I hope to get some answers. Please inform me if you need more details

Be in the setting you want to be in.
Another HUGE one for me is to be very tested and well fed and watered.
The more energy you have the easier it is to enjoy and do things with your trip I stead of just watching movies for 10 hours
As well try to go in with no expectations, that way your trip won't feel like it isn't as good as you hoped, it's what you make of it

This is just my opinion, I don't really find LSD to be THAT beneficial. If you've done LSD 10 times and haven't gotten any benefit from it then doesn't that answer your question? Maybe it's because I broke through on mushrooms. LSD is something I do for fun, if you're looking for a spiritual experience take the route of mushrooms or DMT. I'm sure someone else could add to that list and I'm positive a lot of people will disagree with me.

Although I guess for a fun LSD trip, just watch that Tim and Eric's billion dollar movie, then you'll realize what geeking yourself to death is.

Thanks for answering. I've benefited from LSD in the past, and I guess I'm looking for another powerful experience.
I agree with what you said somewhat, I guess you would say LSD is a tad limited compared to Mushies and DMT, in new experiences.

I did have a spiritual experience on acid in nature, unlike any trip I've had before so I guess I'm looking for that again.

Also the first couple of times I did the drug, it was for fun and visuals but later i became interested in the mental aspect.
Appreciate your answer and feel free to give more opinions, it's great to hear

@holytoast

Haha you again! Thanks for answering. I think that's a good idea, rather than have a desire to get something specific and risk disappointment. You've been a help twice now, appreciate it

Meditate - it's not cheating lol! And listen to amazing music, it will envelop you into a new world. Have good friends around, with whom you can laugh, or a funny movie.

Meditation, completely dark room, and earphones with Shpongle playing. That combination of darkness
, psychedelic music, and inward focus has led me to some intense ego death situations. I wonder how binaural beats or isochronic tones would effecy a tripping person.

It definitely has an interesting effect, produces deep visions which have an archaic pattern.
Also testing it in nature, all the trees basically dance or suspend movement based on the tone of audio being played

The only reason I say cheating is because without the aid of Lucy, it would be much harder to have visions.
I don't knock it though! And overall it's awesome while tripping

Thanks again for sticking your heads in BLers
Feel free to keep adding to what makes LSD positive for you

The "five grams in silent darkness" isn't specific to mushrooms. That's generally the way to get the most out of a psychedelic experience - high doses and minimal sensory input.

This is not to say that that is the only good way to trip. Something that intense is not always desirable. It depends on what your goals are. Sometimes music can improve a trip, sometimes it is distracting, same with anything else.

What exactly are you trying to get out of your lsd experience?

I agree with that, and I noticed the value of minimum sensory with LSD as well today.
I guess I was looking for an experience which would leave its mark, change or improvement in perception which lasts for a long time.

Personally I think I'm trying to mimic how I felt after I first had a breakthrough experience with acid
Life after it was different, my attitude changed with confidence being risen, gaining clarity on problems, and having high energy, etc.

I'm learning, or at least seeing from results that I won't have that same life changing experience. But tripping again reinforces what I gained on the previous breakthrough.

What do you think? Do you believe it is a self limiting drug, that won't give new insights because I've gained all I can from it for now?

By the way, the trip is over and things went the way I liked, but there was no "ahhh I see now, it's all so clear!" moment.
Rather what I got were reminders, and I feel cleansed again of any negativity.

I think it's time to hang up the phone for a while with Lucy, let me know your opinions.

Appreciate the reply and hopefully you can add a little more :) thanks

Decide on a specific intention, and approach LSD as a means to that end.

I've successfully used LSD to overcome certain personal issues, help me make certain decisions, and to improve my skills as an artist.
