Hello hello. Ill start by thanking bl for lots of questions being answered! Ok in 2005 I had a severe case od MRSA in my leg. It went untreated and undiagnosed for some time until it was properly diagnosed. By then it was bad. They removed parts of my right tibia and basically all of my calf muscle. After several months in the hospital I was released on lots of narcotics. My pcp at the time gave me anything I wanted. So needless to say I got strung out. But that's not my reason for this post. Since then I have had multiple I&D surgies due to staph. So its basically clear to the hospitals around here that I am a frequent flyer. Well I am having return symptoms of an abcess in my private region. No abscesses or anything just severe pain and I'm afraid of a new infection on the rise. The er wont see me and my pcp wont see me for a month. I am at aloss. I am concerned about this because of my history of staph. Now I know my body ad have had it enough to realize the symptoms. But I cannot seem to find any help..
Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to resolve this? Before it gets to the point of me going in with my balls the size of grapefruits and its obvious that thwre is somthing wrong. I like my boys and I'm mot really trying to experience that again. So any advice would be great. Thanks guys!

Well, im no doctor. i dont even understand a lot of the acronyms u used for ur conditions, but if u are having trouble finding help in your area, find a new pcp and go to another area. Go to a hospital clinic. like in nyc, if you have no insurance and are an illegal resident, the hospital will treat u regardless and charge u on a sliding scale based on reported income.

there is help out there, you just have to find it.

im sorry that you are going through all this trouble. I hope it is all resolved quickly.

Yeah, there's not much that a bunch of internet randoms will be able to do for you.

Find a way to see a doctor. ER if needs be. As you know well, MRSA is not something to fuck with. Is it a wound that had become infected, or is it systemic?

There is no abcess yet. But I know one is one the way. Getting a new pcp is going to take to long... although I am getting a new one. The thing is if I go to an er around here they wont see me due to my past with opiates. Its fucked up, here docs think hydros are like heroin. Its crazy. My mom had eight disks removed from her back. They wont give her anything stronger than perc 10s. Its completely. Fucked

I'm going to go ahead and move this to Healthy Living, to see if you can get more answers there - i'll echo Dave's comment though; you need to see a healthcare professional, seriously.

All the best.

So if you go to an ER, they straight up won't see you? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe you mean that they just won't treat you with narcotics? If you have the beginning stages of an infection that you've had a history with, you need to get it taken care of straight away. Whether or not they are aware that you do drugs does not make a difference. Especially in an ER. They have to treat you regardless of that. If you are uncomfortable with the ER in your area because of your history there, go to one in the next town.

I'm closing this, because you just need to get checked out. Sorry, but it's not worth your health and we are not doctors. Good luck <3
