My parrot took 1-2g of Coke a day for 9 months and is now down to .3g daily.
He wants to stop for good but didn't get on with NA/AA type programs for persona reasons on the method. (I respect it works for some).
He can't go to rehab as can't afford it and can't afford time off work.
He knows the best advice is 12 steps/Smart programs or rehab but wants to do it by himself for a number of reasons...
He wants to know if anyone else has one clean on their own and how they did it? Has anyone used any OTC medication or herbal remedies to help them?
He has realised that he doesn't do Coke because of the comedown but purely because it is a habit he has of buying each day after work. I know he needs to break the cycle and keep himself busy etc...
I don't want to sound rude but I feel like he has genuinely tried all of the commonly spoken about methods. I think his real question is as simple as: what is the best OTC meds (uk available) or herbal supplements he can take to help him?
