This is ironic because I actually logged on to ask a question about methadone, it must just be a methadone day. I've been going to a clinic for 3 years, and you get liquid methadone at a clinic. I've injected it more times than I can count but it's not made for injecting because unfortunately the bottles they give it to you in aren't completely sterile. Amazingly I've passed quite a few drug tests and I get take homes. After drinking my dose for the day I decided to shoot some of tomorrows. I was a horrible heroin addict because my veins suck. None of them stick out and they're all small, and they roll. Anywho- so I actually hit one this morning and was pushing it and it was stinging, which isn't rare. As I said my veins are small and methadone is thick so most times it stings a little. So anyways I didn't notice til the end that not all of it went in the vein and I had a knot on my arm. I figured it would just absorb into the tissue around it, like skin popping does. I mean I have a little knot before and it went away in a day or two. This time is a bit different, it's only been an hour and the knot is turning pink and feels a little warm, which usually suggests an abscess, but can an abscess form this quickly? I don't want to wait too long and have to get it cut open. I have some extra antibiotics from the last time I was sick, should I try taking one or should I just wait a day and see how it goes? I've never had one start turning pink this quick before so I guess I'm freaking a little.
