Advice: 1st time Mephedrone use by Tramadol (SNRI) user?


Any suggestions on initial dosage for 1st time Mephedrone use for a Tramadol user. I have been on 400 mg(HCL 24 hours) Tramadol for a couple years now, I will not take any Tramadol tonight of course, last dose yesterday at supper. I understand Mephedrone and Tramadol/SSRI’s are a ‘bad’ combination and possibly lethal due to serotonin syndrome. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with Mephedrone/Tramadol?

My plan was to take a ‘really low’ initial oral test dose say 50 mg (I am absolutely paranoid of serotonin syndrome) and then re-dose about an hour after any effects, possibly mixing oral/insufflation re-dose.

Any advice appreciated?

Id wait until at least 48-72 hours after your last dose just to be safe. Especially if you have been dosing daily for the last two years

I would wait at least 72 hours.

Also, we don't use "SWIM" here. We know its you and it makes it really hard to read your posts.

SWIM took 500mg Trams and did Meph later. The effects were alot weaker of the Meph.

^Why would you blatantly disregard the rules, after reading thru this thread? We do not use SWIM here. Period. After being a member for 1.5 years you should know this. Also, taking more than 400mg of tramadol greatly increases your risk of having a seizure, especially combined with a stimulant.

I fail to see the point in resurrecting this thread from the dead..

Please don't swim. It doesn't protect anyone and it looks ridiculous. NT said that in the post right above yours! If you've got a specific question, feel free to make your own thread, but take a look at the forum guidelines found in my sig before posting..

Also, as BDP said 400mg/day is the accepted safe limit for tramadol, although it varies hugely depending on your seizure threshold and what other drugs you take. 500mg is asking for trouble.. especially combined with a stimulant. Plus then there is the risk of serotonin syndrome.
