adverse effects from adderall

Yesterday I acquired a 30mg adderall xr. I opened it and dumped the beads in my mouth around 10am. I don't have much of a tolerance(only take amphetamines about twice a month) so I geeked pretty hard. I started smoking weed around 4pm which is normal for me. I didn't eat anything all that day. I stayed up all night then this morning tried to eat a poptart after the second or 3rd bite I had extreme pain in the back of my mouth and throat. my throat was also swolen and I threw the poptart away.

I was wondering if the adderall could have caused this.

I sometimes forget to drink water when I take adderall. It sounds like you might be dehydrated? Did you smoke the weed in a joint/blunt, bowl, or bong? I find joints and pipes can have negative effects on my throat the following day, especially if shared with multiple people. I guess it could also be entirely from the adderall but I'm guessing it's a combo of things. The lack of sleep is also not a good thing for your immune system.

I smoked out of a blunt, a glass pipe, and a cigarette one hitter. I also smoke cigs(about half a pack a day) if that helps.

Try taking a sip of water with every mouth full of food. Both those drugs cause extreme dry mouth. It will not go down your throat otherwise.

I dunno what kind of Addie XR's you get, but I found grinding the beads to be insanely frustrating in Adderal capsules, they just would not crush like say Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) XR capsules, where the beads where happy to be crushed to a powder.

This happens to me all the time when I take adderal. I don't eat for a day or two, then when I finally do, it hurts the roof of my mouth and throat pretty bad. I think it has to do with not eating. Many people who fast report this happening when they finally eat.

You must use the proper technique with a mortar and pestal or shot glass and screw driver handle. It is true it is tricky but it is well worth it. The idea is to grind the outer part of the beads first to create a powder buffer to prevent the rest from bouncing away.

Dry mouth can wreak havoc on you if it is bad enough. Canker sores on the tongue are the worst.

It's normal for adderall to sometimes cause pain in the mouth or throat from swallowing or biting the inside of your mouth more than usual while tweeking. The fact that you waste food shows that you are a selfish person who has no respect for anyone else.

Maybe it was the cannabis and adderall. Amphetamines and cannabis both dry up your mouth reaaaallly bad. And like another poster said joints, pipes and blunts can affect this too and I can totally agree. The harshness of the smoke and coughing is probably made worse with a super dry mouth. Start and keeping drinking lots of water

Or when you have been rubbing your tongue compulsively across your teeth for four days and night strait.. gets so sore.. tongue rug burn.


Danks so right about the teeth.. its utterly devastating in a short period. I was talking with my uncle who's a dentist and he told me that initially they thought meth mouth had allot to do with some of the chemicals or the meth itself. Last time I talked to him he said they now think its mainly from the dry mouth, that and combining the dry mouth with allot of carbonated soda.

I have had plenty of experience with vyvanse/Ritalin/Dexadrine (medicinally, as I hate uppers) and I would not doubt that the pain in your throat came from that + you just not taking care of your body.

After taking amphetamines the first year straight, I had to smoke cannabis before every meal so I could actually eat.
These drugs are a fickle mistress.
