I think most people know of the old steaming bud trick

I don't buy wet buds and neither do any of my mates

If powdered lead was added to bud, I bet you couldn't tell very easily but, when someone offers me wet bud i just laugh at them ;)

This was in Germany, there have been no cases in Aus

I actually thought it was flyspray as it isn't inside the buds. I don't see why the Adelaide juice is having something added to it, it looks and smokes awesome as it is.

I'll get my pics up tomorrow as I can't find a cable.
 
Once you have a good female strain away you go ... maybe even order seeds like superskunk and mango .. my mate did ... ;)

ph is the only thing that is a problem but aussie tap waters actually pretty good so airing it for 24 hours removes and chlorine and fluride ..

Anyone heard of growlush energy saver cfl grow lights ?? 100-130watts ... costs $160 to run them 18hrs a day for 365 days ... cfl is the future ... alot cheaper .. and great yields.

I actually think the price of weed is going to skyrocket as over the next 3 years electricity is going up 50% , sure some setups steal power but alot don't so I wonder if it will have an effect on prices ?
 
Your average J-bag (from my experience) has dropped in weight considerably.

But its all about who you know.

If you get any bud, leaving the bag open or leaving it in a hot car for a while will make for a lot better smoking experience.
 
I've come across bud that snapped, crackled and popped like the OP mentioned only once. From memory it was strong enough, but not exactly a nice smoke. The explanation given to my mate was that it was "aero-ponic", i.e. there wasn't a perlite growing medium, the roots were exposed to air! wtf! Made me chuckle :)

I think the crux of the issue is that people will still buy shitty bud, if there is nothing else available, hence ppl get away with shortcuts like not flushing it properly etc.

I've also found that J-bag weights are dropping. Not only that, some ppl are upping the price slightly... (20% increase in $). Hopefully, this relative measure of increase does not violate forum rules :)

I disagree. I know people who have been growing Connoisseur grade for 10+ years now, all the big strains from seed from Amsterdam, and while they grow a great product everyone agrees that the Adelaide bricks has a special something to it that they can't replicate. I am only talking about the 4-5 pounds per year of the absolute top shelf bricks as well, not the regular Red Devil. A lot of people rarely, if ever see this strain. Down there they call it the chronic.

I have also had friends come back from Amsterdam complaining about the quality of the pot over there and saying how they were hanging out the whole time for some good S.A. bud.

Everyone has a different opinion though and I respect yours. This thread is getting way off topic.
 
heh... i dunno, i think this kinda stuff has been going on in small cases for decades around Oz. -Flyspray or other dirty techniques, but as kingpin said it's possibly sometimes greedy growers who are trying to cater to demand and dont care what shit they pump out, even if the Chems or Nutes have not been flushed. They aren't doing it for the love of gardening, that's for sure.

Keep the street talk to a minimum, half these topics are borderline crossing the rules of this site. stay on topic.
 
I have a feeling that the last ounce ive had has been this stuff. But luckily my blokes running towards the end of what he must of got, i hope he will take it on board if i say its not to good. Well the effects are fine just i seem to be smoking more then normal.
 
Had a friend from melbourne message me asking what to do with bud he had that sparkled like a sparkler.

I told him to turn it to hash oil.


Years ago i had a friend who grew hydro for perso, never had that sort of effect from not flushing. Then again he didnt use all the extra additives in flowering.
 
Someone I know bought weed that was adulterated with a strange grey powder, on closer inspection they realised is was gravox, even mixed some up with hot water and watched it turn to gravy. Word on the street was that some poor sod had ended up with 25 'bricks' of this stuff!
