i think it was ecstasydata.org that I recently saw reference to modafinil as the adulterant - it would certainly give a pill some legs!

I still get a laugh every time people mention coke or h in their pills.

I imagine modafinil would have a similar effect as a meth/MDxx combo....?

I found it didn't make much difference actually, at lower doses modafinil is very subtle, if you're already massively overstimulated from MDMA then a regular dose of modafinil doesn't do a whole lot.

I'm told it does actually give something of a speedy buzz at higher doses, but you're getting into the 600mg + range for that, at which stage you're going to have trouble fitting it into a pill.

Last weekend I had a reasonable number of pills on the 2nd night of a 3 day festival, hoping for a good kick of MD of course. After the first one I only had a slight speed rush and I figured each one was just a small dose of amphetamines, so me being an idiot at the time and a little annoyed at the fact I'd spent a lot of money on GARBAGE once again, I continued to dose every hour with a pill just to keep me going until at about the 3 or 4 hour mark, when I realised I was tripping HARD. Everyone around me turned on me and were acting weird because I was so fucked up. (They weren't really, this was all in my head.) So I was stuck in this situation of trying to act like I was OK when really I had no idea what was wrong with me.

I wouldn't say I'm a veteran at psychs but I've had my fair number of acid and mushrooms trips, and the fact I was tripping on a chemical which I had no understanding of how long it would last or what it's actually doing to me really freaked me out. I'd hate to know how a beginner pill taker would feel if they were caught in the state of mind I was. It took over 24 hours for the visuals to disappear. At one stage I thought I was done for, I felt like I'd fried something in my brain and was going to be in that mind state of insanity forever.

Edit: Just thought I'd add, I still have no idea what these pills were adulterated with. Looking at the DOB details on erowid pretty much matches the experience I had exactly, but is that possible?

I can't say if the pills you were on at the festival were DOB but I can tell you that it has happened before.

I was also at a club in central Canada that got flooded with DOB pills back in 2006 (i suspected DO* at the time but it wasn't confirmed until weeks later).

I was lucky not to consume them and spent the next 12 hours entertaining a large group of MDMA users that had never tripped before. I kept them busy so they wouldn't delve too deep into their own minds and freak out

The good 'ol ecstasy pill has been used to sell all sorts of weird drugs over the years and today, MDMA pressed into round shapes seems less common than ever

Although rare, I believe it has possibly been found in pills. Some years ago green vitamin looking pills circulated around these parts. They all had a small brown spot, as if someone had applied some form of liquid. All user reports said LSD.

You would remember this being around at the time PD:

Triangles. (brown/orange)

Tasted like vitamin C/fruit tingles.

These were pills that were the same size as any MDMA pill going around at the time.

They were being labeled as tripstacy, but you will find that there is a thread somewhere on bluelight where someone actually sent one of them away OS to get lab tested..... and the result was: A hefty dose of LSD.

OMG ! I just read your post after I made mine. UYES - 2001 was the exact year I crushed a pill in Melbourne to find bits of blotter inside (and was certainly active LSD too) other active substance prooved to mdxx. Yes the pills were better then :D

busts aren't exactly a negative thing these days- much more likely to be taking adulterants off the streets... we just gotta hope the MD slips through lol key word- hope

and, may i ask where you plan on taking that o/s trip too- europes pill scene is worse then ours right now, and ive never heard particularly good things about america.. maybe canada?? lol

a corny, old skool adage but it seems fitting.... personally, I'm keen to procure a comparatively euphoric state of mind without having to resort to illicit pharmaceuticals of any kind.

honestly, maybe the drought is a blessing in disguise. time for everyone to reconnect with other life pursuits and people that might have fallen by the wayside when the quality and quantity of drugs around made it virtually impossible/irresistible to partake.

I'm normally the last person to embrace a bad drug climate, but a few things lately have given me reason enough to reverse the logic.. for the time being.

oh ok wow.. well im sure australias will get better too then- good pills are still able to be found but they are indeed far and few between.. i never really had much trouble until early 09 then things really seemed to go to shit and even since then ive found a FEW nice ones

You're forgetting about all the people (such as myself) who are only now getting into the MDMA scene, only to be told how much better it was 10-15 years ago... I've only rolled 3 or 4 times, and each time it has taken 2 or 3 before I got a proper roll going...... well at least my understanding of what a roll is supposed to feel like I've had 4 batches, 2 were MDMA, 1 was MDA and 1 was MDMA + BZP...
