ha! I'm a .NET/MSSQL coder. I'd ask if I had to design a database layout and multiple customers could be assigned multiple products and multiple products could be assigned to multiple customers, how many tables would that be and what would be the indexes on each table. :)

Then, I'd ask him what's the difference between a class and an interface. If he doesn't know, I'd have to ignore him. :)

I hated trying to set up databases for private WoW servers. never failed, some value would be wrong in the table with drop %, item stats, etc. also spawn times, health and mana values, experience, gold drop... kill a stupid kobold and it drops every fucking epic item, 10 legendaries, 1billion gold, and like 5exp... then a rare kobold spawns, had billions of HP and drops jack shit.... needless to say I stopped bothering lol.
 
lol Pagey, I write on the side for spending money, and the editor has to rewrite half of my stuff, but god damn he makes me sound good. LOL He told me that it's typical for an editor to do it, so I don't feel bad, but you English majors have a way to make my little bland, technical writing sound awesome. That's a talent.

Don't mind us science majors. We're snobs. ;)

I swear I spend half my time trying to convince science majors/med students in particular that yes, I do indeed work. It's not cuz I only have 10h contact time a week that I don't do anything, okay...lol

@cheerio: My post did make sense. I used a gender specific pronoun. So what, if *you* where not obtuse, you could of readily abstracted and generalized my statement to include males and trans too. Like if I'm talking about my academic field and I say "Electrons have a -1 charge and a spin of 1/2 and are leptons" anyone with a trivial understanding of the subject will be able to abstract that to mean "Electrons, and muons and tauons have a -1 charge and a spin 1/2 and are leptons" and then they can even go further and say "and their antiparticles are the same except they have +1 charge"

You could have easily swapped the gender pronoun of your choice in there and you know it. "If I smoke pot in front of that police officer, he might arrest me!" ...it does not take a fucking rocket surgeon to realize that this can be generalized to smoking pot in front of a female police officer too, does it now?

That such a bad thing Lysis? I mean, female coppers, uniforms, utility belts, handcuffs and truncheons? Sounds like a top night out to me, female coppers are well horny. Blonde ones, about a size 12, just big enough to be able to chuck me all over the place if they wanted. What's not to like?
