What do you think about painkiller such as tramadol wich are supposed to be almost addictionless.

Addictionless in the pharmaceutical industry simply means not enough people have reported becoming addicted yet so the company can more aggressively market the drug before taking any flack from the public.
A drug itself may not cause physical addiction, but any drug that gets you high can be psychologically addictive to certain people.
What's really funny is how if a drug is popular among the recreational drug using crowd it's considered addictive no matter what it is. But a pharmaceutical company will their drugs aren't addictive then a few years later they are. Take Ambien for example. I guarantee that in the next 5 years you'll start seeing articles about how it's being commonly abused and the media will find law enforcement and DEA sources and doctors that claim it's addictive.
Also, there is at least one rapid detox center that advertises on the net that mentions tramadol as one of the drugs it can free you of addiction from.

It is addictive, methadone has even been used for acute tramadol dependency. My doctor mentioned it having little to no addictive properties, this might be why he prescribed me the drug. I do think it can cause "drug-seeking" behavior, similar to a codeine or darvocet fiend.
I have taken alot of tramadol from various sources, and think it could be easily abused, but to a lesser extent than stronger opiods. I have found it less addictive, the tolerance takes longer, but the withdrawal symptoms last longer than traditional opiates.

tramadol was designed to be VERY nasty when abused, it can have lovely little side effects like psychosis, tremors, and even seizures. not much fun if you ask me, altho at lower doses, has me feeling pretty good. speaking of which, i have some ultram downstairs, that would end my withdrawal...

i took ULTRAM several times when detoxing from BUBAIN and the very first time i felt a very mild BUZZ from the TRAM..i simply took a 50 mg tablet and felt relaxed and kinda drowsy...
there are people who are addicted to TRAMADOL!!anything that produces feelings of drowsiness and relaxtion are addicting, i dont care what doctors tell us!!
from what i hear and read AMBIEN is very effective at promoting sleep and also provides "TRIPPY" visions, so that right there will cause many to abuse the drug..

Its quite simply not addictive. Its designed that way. Its feels pleseant like a mild opiate the first few times. Then its just a pain killer. Then it makes you anxious and jittery all the time. Then you start getting dizzy and more anxious. Then you start hallicinating, and having psychosis. Wanna go to hell inside your own head anyone? Some people have reported seizures and nasea. I know other people who have been fucked up by this medicine. I used it as a pain killer, and ended up at home or in hospital for 6 months with totally derranged psychosis. Look at the side effects and read the information in the packet. Ull find warnings about the anti-addiction property in there.
Dont take this drug for more than a week. Ever.
Repeat this drug is not addictive, thats like saying pain and suffering is addictive.

Hello Cimora
I understand your point of view, but do you really tink it's worst than others, such as codeine, I mean for the side effects ? Or are they almost similar ?

just a note, pain and suffering can be addictive. there are some very strange people around.

I often disagree with Love but this is stated perfectly. Some time go out and read some of the old adderall ads that claim it "Will not cause habits" and "Improves focus with no side effects"
I think we all know those are bullshit.

yes the side effects make dramamine and datura look like a fun holiday in the tropics. They are not mearly side effects either, there are intended effects. What happens i beleive is the 5-ht3 receptor in your brain gets activated, and over time this build up to the point where theres little difference between you and some1 with say schizophrenia.

As i have mentioned before in the past 6 months I have had 2 seperate auto accidents and I have doctors who give me tramdols and tell me they can be addictive, same with percs. i think im just addicted to anything that makes my back feel better..I like to have the trams on the "back burner" for when the percs are all gone!

very few doctors know about the anti-addiction property of tramadol, as do few others. The company is required to mention it, but they are very headgey about details. It took alot of research to find the actual mechanism of the anti-addiction.
Nobody would even use this drug, nor would it be allowed on the market if doctors and society were truely aware of its side effects.
PS please dont take the drug long term, ull end up being literally completely mad.

ok heres a quote straight from "ULTRAM.COM"
when asked... "who should not take this drug?"
abuse and dependence on ULTRAM have been reported. ULTRAM should not be used in opioid-dependent patients. Since ULTRAM can reinitiate physical dependence, it is not recommended for patients with a tendency to drug abuse, a history of drug dependence, or chronically using opioids.

As i said above, the information on the anti-addiction property (which ive personally experienced - six months with psychosis) is quite hard to find. The drug companies are trying to keep this one on the quiet, as seizures and schizophrenic like psychosis is not good for business. Do a search for 5ht and tramadol, or psychosis/seizures and tramadol. Eventually ull get the goods on why this is not addictive.
PS by non-addictive i dont mean that it cant become a habit. it can obviously, as it feels midly opiate. it just doesnt stay that way, the side effects become FAR stronger than any positive effect you might get.
Even if you dont believe me, please dont take the tramadol for for than a month at most. Stay on it for a year, and i guarantee youll end up in hospital. Seriously! In fact even after a month or two u should start to become aware of the anxiety and disorietation that characterises the start of the anti-addiction effect. Its not a property that u wanna go testing. I personally know about three ppl including myself who got fucked up by long-term use. The two others had seizures, i got the psychosis.
And it seems clear from the above they mean that addicts of OTHER opiods can have there craving re-initiated with tramadol. Id like to hear there defination of abuse or addiction of tramadol itself, considering the facts it seems extremely unlikely that addiction could remain as such, nor abuse (unless they class any recreational usage as abuse).
