Addicted to Roxys..but tehy are now maing me feel sick throughout the day.

Hey guys.Thanks for all ur help in advance.
I have been addicated to pain meds for years..but over the last year r two i have been getting 15 mg roxys . I started snorting a whole one but this made me very sick to where i would vomit.So for the past few mnths I ahve only been taking ab 10 mg of the pill by cutting off a small corner before i crush the other part of the pill and put the small corner away for later...which leaves me snorting only ab 10 mg at a time...but i do this every 2-3 hours. If I do not do this I have withdrawal. What happened to the days of me getting a good buzz anad energy off these? now i dont even get that i just end up w a horrible headache and neasea ab 20-30 min after snorting.
whats up w this? Has anyone ever had this happen before? I am scared to take more bc of overdose as crazy as that may sound..over dosing scares the crap outta me but teh withdrawals r crazy bad.I miss the feel good feeling the pills use to give me. Now i have to smoke weed to help with the sickness the pills give me which certanley makes me super lazy!!!!!! any advice will be great )

sadly, it gets to that point for pretty much everyone. Our tolerance builds and the'honeymoon stage' ends. We need to take more simply to just not get sick. It sounds like your 'more' may be too much which induces that sick feeling. Finding that perfect amount gets tricky due to the steady building of our tolerance

I highly suggest switching to taking these orally. Not only is the bioavailability higher, but instead of a faster peak which makes it wear off faster when taking it nasally, the oral use lasts longer by taking longer to peak, and therefore wears off slower.

"The bioavailability of oral administration of Oxycodone averages 60–87%, with rectal administration yielding the same results; intranasal varies between individuals with a mean of 46%" (source).

Sure you may feel it hit you a little harder if you take it nasally since you are getting that ~46% at a faster rate, but you are better off getting that 60-87% at a slower rate, which in turn makes it wear off slower than if taken nasally.

Snorting 10mgs every 2-3 hours in not good for you, as you are filling up your nasal membranes with the fillers/binders that are part of the pill, some of which may be making it into your lungs. After crushing it, you are better off just eating it, as it will still hit you faster than if you eat the pill whole.

Almost everybody that I know that has been using oxycodone for a long time, and/or takes high doses of it, are eating it rather than sniffing it. It's just too much abuse for your nose, and due to the BA the risk is not worth the reward.

as explained earlier man those days are over. It sucks to hear and trust me i knew it when i was doing around a bundle and a half a day of heroin and still not getting high and feeling just "normal"

wow. well i have never done herion and never will bc i am too scared to try.But the roxys i take have no fillers..they r pure oxy no tylenol etc in them at all. I will try w just 1/2 the pill. I use to just take them by mouth but they stoped working r shall i say i stopped feeling them. I just wish this headache would go away. I guess mayb this is from snorting the but its such a small small amount that i do snort at a time.

^All pills have binders/fillers. They are the inactive ingredients that hold the pill together. You can find the list of inactive ingredients pretty easily using google. APAP/tylenol is not considered a binder/filler. Point is, that you are snorting other shit along with the oxy; your pills are NOT pure. Just think about it. The pill probably weighs 250mg give or take, and there is only 15mg of oxycodone in it. The rest of the weight is comprised of inactive ingredients, that over the long term can damage your nose if you regularly snort them.

Try lowering your dose, and switching to taking them orally.

yeaa many say the same thing about heroin. once you start dabbling with opiates youre messing with a drug in the same class and many people end up going to heroin with it being relatively cheap and strong. I've had the headaches but usually when doing opiates it goes away. sorry i cant be anymore help

yes this ^^ there are definitely inactive ingredients you are snorting that are probably doing damage to your nose that arent water soluble. Ive noticed that when blowing my nose the next day from snorting roxis and having a nice amount of blue shit come out.
