Stimulants Adderall XR seems wavy and inconsistent?

So I’m prescribed 30mg adderall XR in the morning and 30mg ir in the evening I and noticed that the XR just feels weird. The best way I can describe it is that it comes in waves and I feel somewhat robotic, almost like a depersonalization.

The IR never does this , and If I start to feel weird from the xr I can take half (15mg) the IR and it seems to snap me out of it. I read it can be the time release but you’d think they wouldn’t feel so different. Debating on asking my doc to put me on the IR twice a day just hope it wouldn’t come off as “ drug seeking”. Has anyone else experienced this?

Amphetamine seems to have a strange inconsistency about it. Sometimes if I take low doses multiple times a day it will have a zombifying effect on me. This seems to happen more if I take smaller dose over a few hours rather than my whole dose at once.

The XR's slow release seems to exacerbate this issue, at least in my experience.
