Adderall XR not working?

About two hours ago, I took about 40mg Adderall XR. Before anyone asks, I take 30mg a day and have been for months now (I've been on Adderall for almost five years) so I have quite a tolerance. Then, about 30 minutes ago, I snorted 30mg crushed up (there was probably about an eighth of the pill still un-crushed that I put up my nose anyway) to "defeat" the time release.

Right now I feel like I could sleep if I wanted to. It wouldn't be hard at all. I actually feel kind of tired. But the other day, I took only 60mg (albeit a little earlier in the day) and could hardly sleep all night.

Can anyone explain this?

Edit: No real euphoria or "speediness" either. I'm sort of pissed off about this...
 
The time release of the pill, if you take the pill whole then it releases amphetamine over 12 hours and more is absorbed versus the short rapid high of insufflation.

I know all that jazz haha, but the reason I asked that was because I never really felt a high at all.

And not realizing that he was talking about the time release was my HEY, DUMBASS! moment for the day, lol.
 
snorting adderall might be fun for a little, but orally works much better. more euphoria and longer duration.

you may not have broken it up right. its tricky to get those XR's to work as an IR. your high tolerance is also probably a problem. you did 60 mgs yesterday and took 40mgs today ,assumuing you may of messed up the crushing and snorting, so you probably wouldnt feel that 40mgs much if at all.
 
For some strange reason I too get a similar effect. If I snort the powdered beads of the XR capsules than I seem to get very little effects aside from slight anxiety that does not occur when I take it orally.
 
and adderall XR is not the easiest pill to crush, but you gotta crush the pill as fine as you possibly can. putting any uncrushed beads up up your nose is not the way to do it. it should not just all be powder; it should be the finest powder you can endure grinding it into.

but no one can explain why you did not feel your adderall. maybe because you were tired from the night before.
