Adderall XR comedown question...

i am Rx'ed 30 mg. adderall xr with 10mg. ir. i take the xr and ir so it gives 25 mg. at first, then 15mg 4 hrs. later. i get comedowns from this, and i'm wondering if i chewed the xr and took the ir ( all 45mg. at once) it wouldn't give such a comedown as 45mg. spread across the day.

so is the comedown worse with taking the same amount at once or spread across a period of time?

it seems that getting it all at once would be less harsh than multiple doses(but the same overall amount) because the multiple doses would just release then wear off and repeat making the comedown worse in the long run, but idk.

The comedown is worse the more you redose.

Taking one dose will make you still comedown but not as harsh.

XR's are annoying though because I feel like the comedown is litterally twice as long as IRs....

yeah man I would totally take all of your meds in one dose if you really can't tolerate the comedown.
just like LonE1 mentioned, re-dosing later in the day only prolongs the inevitable crash.
it's like you hit the reset button every time you comedown and re-dose with a narcotic.
you reset the body and it restarts it's countdown timer to the inevitable comedown.

Live with it, either change your diet towards amphetamine usage

otherwise stop using them or accept the fact that there is a comedown. Do you really find it that horrifying on those dosages.?

I snort a helluva lot more speed

^^^ haha yes I agree thats a very low dose.

I took 90mg today, redosing, so having benzos available is a blessing.

The amount hes taking wouldn't even give me a comedown really.

Ah, yeah that sucks. I barely experience any comedowns. That doesn't suck.

Perhaps you should look at your diet, if you exercice enough, sleep patterns, ... so many factors that could help.

i eat well(high protein), lift weights, and run every other day(one day work upper body, next lower body/abs & legs).

i box for sport, so i have to be in shape(can bench 290 lbs. when maxing out), so it must be something else.

*i have adhd, so i naturally i have low DAT levels making comedowns worse(just a theory)

Everyone is different.

When I first started out I could feel a comedown at 40mg, but as my tolerance went up it takes at least 60mg for me to feel a comedown.

Snorting them is a different story: i can get terrible comedowns on just 40-50 if I snorted one or 2.

I wouldn't recommend snorting at all.

^ adderall has a higher BA snorted, so you get more which= worse comedown. plus the rapid onset is harsher on DAT receptors.

always one dose...well in most cases, adderall being one of them, just my opinion tho

I've seen a lot posts that people talks about speed comedown, i dont see a problem, mabe i dont get those "comedowns"? i've always feel strange when it starts to wear out, some side effects but i love every second from start to end, i dont see why to brag that stuff about harsh comedowns. mabe im just not that sensetive

Speed comedown is kind of like other stimulant comedowns (coffee) and IMO a tiny bit like diphenhydramine (benadryl). It's more of a forgetting feeling, anxiety about having forgotten basics about your important past and spelling and such, as well as general dysphoria along with euphoria. When taken orally I would say comedown is worse than coffee but lots of other drugs have a worse comedown/crash than speed. Just my opinion though, nothing less nothing more, all is equal within itself, I am me you are you...
