Stimulants Adderall XR 20mg, whats in it?

Last night i decided to rail half of an Adderall, first time ive done it in over a year so no tolerance. When I opened up the capsule it was more of orange/white powder instead of the "beads" i have read about. Im assuming that other stuff is some kind of filler. Yes,no? Also,when i dumped the contents onto my scale it weighed 230mg.
So, a good hour or so after i did the first half i railed the rest. I noticed it wasnt quite the same feeling or euphoria as an oral dose. I was also able to fall asleep 2 and a half hours after first dose.
My next question. Does the nasal ROA dampen the effects of this specific drug? Maybe cause its XR? But doesnt that only pertain to the coating of the capsule, not the material itself?

Adderall XR should not contain ANY powder...

What are the ingredients in ADDERALL XR?

Active Ingredients: dextroamphetamine saccharate,

amphetamine aspartate monohydrate,

dextroamphetamine sulfate, USP, amphetamine

sulfate USP

Inactive Ingredients: gelatin capsules,

hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, methacrylic acid

copolymer, opadry beige, sugar spheres, talc, and

triethyl citrate. Gelatin capsules contain edible inks,

kosher gelatin, and titanium dioxide. The 5 mg, 10

mg, and 15 mg capsules also contain FD&C Blue #2.

The 20 mg, 25 mg, and 30 mg capsules also contain

red iron oxide and yellow iron oxide

They contain 75% Dextro-amp and 25% Levo-amp, making it a racemic mix of amphetamine salts.

Yes - amphetamines are better absorbed orally than intranasally.

Adderall is not racemic. Racemic means 50/50 dextro and laevo.

Is it wrong to say that it contains a racemic mix of amphetamine salts, I just meant it contained both isomers in the ratio I provided.

Well Shiiiiit im a high, i looked closer *cough* before smashing, lol. Those are definitely beads
Sleep after 2.5 hrs though, im having trouble wrapping my head around that one, huh....

Tricomb, thanks for that ingredients post, the dextro and levo explain the 2 colors.
And thats good to know sekio, now i can research further.

No, the dextro and levo are found present in both beads, I believe that one color of the beads is the sulphate forms of amps, and the other color is the saccharate and aspartate monohydrate form.

One color of the beads are designed to be released instantly, and the other colors are the other forms of amphetamine, like "dextroamphetamine saccharate, and amphetamine aspartate monohydrate"

By having more than just the normal Sulphate form (which make up the instant release colored beads), it allows for an XR medication to have a kick at the beginning just like an IR with the sulphates, but the Saccharate and Aspartate monohydrate forms aren't absorbed as rapidly in your GI, so that's part of the time release.
