I have developed a massive tolerance to Adderall XR. I could probably take around 100mg and sleep just fine. But if I were to take the equivalent dose of Vyvase, I'd be speeding my balls off. I know that Vyvanse is a prodrug of Adderall, meaning that it is metabolized into basically the same thing; so why don't I have the same tolerance for Vyvanse?

Perhaps due to slower cleavage of the lysine molecule; the duration is extending too far into the evening?

I have the opposite, I can take a lot of vyvanse and sleep and no adderall xr and be fine.. What is your vyvanse dose (mine's 210-350)? I think the only explanation is that YES they both activate the same things amphetamine wise.. but they are just done in a different way that your body isn't used to.. so maybe that is it. Also there a few less salts in vyvanse than adderall xr.

I posted this question in a different forum but I think it might belong here instead... MY question was, is there anyone out there that has taken and can tolerate crazy high doses of vyvanse? I'm talking about 800-1000 mg within a 30 hour period... and still dosing?

in theory you should have tolerance in regards to the vyvanse. Vyvanse = dexedrine more or less, once its metabolized by the liver. with that said, i've noticed that my system reacts in a novel way to vyvanse, (as i've been on adderall basically since i was a kid)

vyvanse is smoother, happier, but doesn't have that cool edge that adderall brings
