adderall tolerance

Would taking ~5 mg of adderall three times a year (spaced out in approximately one-month intervals) cause me to build up tolerance? My body weight is approximately 50kg, if that makes a difference.

No this won't build any tolerance. This would be an example of how one would gain a tolerance. I have been taking Vyvanse 50mg (Lisdexamfetamine) which is similar to Adderal (Salts-Based amphetamine) for the past 6 months every day. After about 4 months of taking it I feel nothing from Vyvanse at this dose, it takes at least 100mg. You build tolerance over time and with regular usage and increasing or a steady dose. 5mg of Adderal is a very low dose to start with and your not regularly using it. Your should be fine.

^ indeed, you should be okay at that dosage level/frequency. just be careful if you start taking it more often or pushing your dosage up.

bodyweight doesn't have a huge amount to do with dosage for many drugs.

The dose, as already stated, is was too low and way too infrequent to cause any kind of tolerance.

^And also too low to cause any sort of effect after the initial honeymoon period (after the first few experiences), which is why I posted that. It's like an opioid naive user saying, "what if I were to dose 2.5mg hydrocodone once a month"? Eventually that 2.5mg becomes 5mg, then settles around 10mg at that dosage frequency.

I feel like the OP will eventually end up settling at 10mg Adderall per dose at that kind of dosage frequency, which is still a very low, responsible dosage. You're going about this the right way, OP. Always use the lowest dose possible, you can always take more the next time if it doesn't work.

On the other hand, the OP is very light. I weigh 82.5 kilos, so 5mg sounds about right, actually.
