Hi guys, I'm wondering if its possible to remove the dye/coloring from generic Adderall IR, is this at all possible? I've been looking around and am surprised to find nothing at all. Help would be appreciated, thanks
 
I suppose micron filtering in a solution of bacteriostatic water would filter the coloring/binders out of the Adderall IR, but I'm not so sure as I have never IV'ed.

I have plugged Dexedrine, though, and the comments on it being very close to IV administration are very spot on. It was so powerful and came on so quickly that it kind of scared me, and I've shied away from this super-fast ROA after a few times. However, I'm wondering if you're asking this question, because if you're interested in IV'ing Adderall, then for the love of God, don't; even with micron filters it's super unsafe due to levoamphetamine's quadrupled bioavailability... if you MUST IV, then just break that needle off and plug. Amphetamines are addictive enough without the damn needle.

No its not for IV Admin, SWIM is just curious if this can be done and if so has anyone tried it? whats the final product look like.
 
Adderall, or mixed amphetamine salts, contain amphetamine in the form of three different salts: saccharate, aspartate, and sulfate. I have no experience with the appearance of the aforementioned salts, but I do know that amphetamine HCl, just like methamphetamine HCl, takes the form of a white powder if it is pure. If one wished to extract the amphetamine from adderall the first step would be to take your pills and crush them to a fine consistency. After this you would dissolve the pill mass in a solvent that extracts the amphetamine salts, such as water, and then pour the solvent through a filter, preferably with vacuum suction. After this you would basify the solution with sodium hydroxide or some other strong base until it is at a pH of 12, and a yellow oily liquid should form as a layer that floats above the water. This liquid should smell like a mixture of rotten fish and ammonia. Remove this liquid and dissolve it in diethyl ether. Once you have done this add, drop by drop, an acid to precipitate out the amphetamine salt. The two best acids to use in this step are EITHER hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, not both. Once precipitation stops decant off the ether and dry your solid mass. this should be 75%dextro and 25% levo amphetamine, in salt form.

Needless to say, this requires either research about or experience in organic lab technique. Also, there will be some loss of product due to residue being left in beakers and pill binders retaining the amphetamine, so only attempt this if the total amount of amphetamine you are trying to extract is at least .75 of a gram, more is better. If you truly want to do this research organic chemistry and figure out details like solvent amounts for yourself, as following a "recipe" without understanding how it works is a poor way to go about doing things.
