Stimulants Adderall Makes Me Sleepy After 2 Year Break - Why?

Try drinking alkaline water before you pop (as always stay away from citrus juices). I always start on an empty stomach then eat something, or not..no big deal either way, I can usually wait 6 hours after the peak... I drink Eternally Pure bottled water with a pH of 7.8 prettttty darn alkaline compared to other water brands.

No offense to anyone who has viewed or replied to my thread because I fully appreciated your time and effort but I don't think everyone is understanding what I mean when I say the adderall has no effect... I know what it feels like when my tolerance has built up. There are certain effects that become blunted but are still somewhat present. The effects I used to get now are completely absent. What I get now would be no use for studying, focus, social anxiety, concentration, motivation, nothing! If I didn't know better, I'd think my meds had been switched with something else.. And it's so weird because I was sober this whole time so I have no idea what changed...

Also, I never asked. Do you take ANY other medication regimen? If 30mg still does not work (which I'm pretty sure it will, did you try?) then pop 30, wait ONE hour, then smoke a bowl to yourself. Weed makes everything stronger.

I take levothyroxine.. But when I tried Dexedrine and Focalin, I was not on anything. Those also had no effect so I have a feeling Adderall probably wouldn't have either.. But just in case, I have stopped my thyroid med just to see what happens. Don't worry, I'll be fine.

I wouldn't recommend quitting your levothyroxine just in order to attempt to get high, you were put on it for a pretty good reason. The reason you might not be feeling the effects from stimulants could be due to your under-active thyroid. The thyroid regulates many hormones in our body and yours could be out of balance since you have not given the levothyroxine enough time to help regulate your thyroid, maybe not allowing you to receive the same effects you once did from stimulants (of course this is highly speculative). I recommend that you continue to take your thyroid medicine, your quality of life will be much better with it.

I too thought as you did.. Yet the Adderall worked when my thyroid was not working.. I do believe I have been taking the Levo long enough to correct the problem though..

The only symptom of the hypoT that has improved is my daytime fatigue, I wasn't suffering much from before I started the med. I never even knew it was under-active until 9 or so months ago. My numbers on my bloodwork were only slightly off, and I am on a relatively low dose of Levo. This is why I said I would most likely be fine with taking a break for a bit to satisfy my curiosity.

I do thank you for your advice
