Adderall isn't working!

I've tried dosage of 30mg, 15mg, 10mg and 20mg. If I take too little I don't feel it. As I raise the dose I only experience an increase in side effects without experiencing what Adderall is suppose to do. That's my problem, I don't know why that is.

Well, technically you could say that about amphetamines in a non-bipolar person as well. Amphetamines essentially triggers a hypo/manic state as well. If SSRI's trigger hypo/mania in bipolar individuals which is most of the time, I would definitely say that's a side effect of the SSRI.

Amphetamines release the neurotransmitters that induce a state similar to mania. SSRI's do not act on the brain in the same way, regardless of what disorder a person may have. I was thinking SSRI's may trigger the same cascading chain of events that leads to mania in bipolar people normally rather than mysteriously having the pharmacological effects of amphetamines in them and only them. I see SSRI's as being the trigger for the cycle into mania (if they do indeed have this effect) rather than creating the state with its pharmacological action.

Do you understand what I am saying?
