i need to know, how many mgs of adderall is too much to swallow a one time? how much is too much to snort? and y does it keep me awake at night even after almost 11 hours has passed since i took it?
 
i forgot to mention, when i tried to go to sleep that night, instead of falling asleep i tossed and turned for about an hour and a half. and during that hour and a half i got unusually depressed and then i stayed up the rest of the night while having trouble breathing and blurred vision. but i took 60 mgs of adderall and 60 mgs of ritalin too
does anyone know whats been happening and why?
 
its cause you took way too much dude! Adderal and ritalin...why did you cobine the two? that wasnt a good idea IMO. Nest time, take only 15-20 mgs, and forget the ritalin.
 
on a sidenote, whats the most adderall you shout SNORT at once, I weigh about 120 pounds if that helps, I've snorted upwards of 60mgs of adderall in a one hour stretch, I feel like I could do more...help?
 
In general, the desired effect of Adderal isnt to be kigh as a kite. It is to be brought up, and stimulated. Adderal wont give you an effect identical to methamfetamine or something like that, adderal is easier to concenrtate on, as it helps you concentrate and be inspired n a task at hand.
I have only seen 40 mgs tops snorted, and this was by a pretty big guy. It isnt really necessary to do much more than that, really.
Perhaps it is a different hight that you are chasing or expecting. If you wanna feel floored, try some meth, adderal can be better used.
 
It's hard to say, cause dosages vary widely. I have seen some people get really stimmed on 15mg of Adderall; I will personally need 60-90mg for a good time, though 40mg did it for me my first time. It doesn't really matter if you swallow or snort it IMO.
What you describe Chong sounds typical of a stimulant experience: you are high, then you crash and feel depressed and shitty for an hour or two, unable to sleep.
Cutting down the dose will reduce the nasty crash and aftereffects, but it'll also reduce the high. I've found it somewhat helpful to keep a little bit of your stimulant -- prob 10-15mg Adderall -- and take it ORALLY as you start to comedown; this helps even out the crash. But in general, it's something you just gotta deal with: the big negative of stimulants.

The thing I notice with amps is that once it wears off, your not necesarily gunna fall asleep. I use to think If i took a massive amount in the morning or early afternoon, I could easily get to sleep. Even though amps are suppose to last anywhere from 4-6 hours, 12 max off a single dose, when they wear off, one doesn't feel all of a sudden tired and exausted. they shake up your whole body for a day or two and screw up your sleep and eating patterns
 
I've railed around 110 mgs over three hours once, on a long road trip, with horrendous results. Beware of Adderal's potential for abuse. Continual recurrance of an action (like oh say... snorting more adderal) is really a problem when abusing this prescription drug.
After staying awake for a little over two days and driving about 1200 miles I started to feel dizzy and spacey while driving. Whether it was the Adderal or just the actual driving that got to me I still don't know, but I would feel a loud buzzing in my ears and experience intense vertigo (!) on the road. Had to pull over every 15 minutes (I would have stopped the car completely and spent the night at a motel but I HAD to get home... emergency).
I've noticed that the insomnia as well as the effects fade quicker if you snort, probably due to fast absorption by mucous membranes. However, effects on heartbeat much more pronounced!
 
How much is too much? .. can't really say as there are so many varriables - the good news - unlike with narcotics, if you take "too much" Adderall you wont fatally overdose.. you might get a REALLY BAD tweak and you wont be able to sleep for a few days, you might hear voices, or see things, or generally turn into one nutty sonuva bitch, but you wont die .. so I would say to start with about 40mg's, wait until thats taken effect then go for some more..

for me 40mg is always a pretty good dose, but if you want to have a really nice time 60mg will do it. just my opinion.. did i say adderall is the devil
 
so wait, PhreeX, ur telling me that i cant OD on adderall. Well, i've done adderall about 11 or 12 times and about 8 of those times i've taken 60mgs and i was satisfied bc i liked the feeling and i didnt want to do anymore than 60mgs at one time bc i thought that my heart would explode. But lasy wendesday my friend "Tom" took 100mgs of adderall at one time. Now i only weigh about 115 and Tom is about the same size as me. Would it be safe for me to take that much? And i heard a lot of people in other topics talking about how they have an adderall tolerance, im pretty sure that thats impossible bc adderall is a perscription drug and I always thought that it was impossible to build a tolerance on perscription drugs. Am I right or was I misinformed?
 
If you thought that your heart was going to explode at 60mg's why take more? I don't think that taking more is going to make you feel any better. Actually I think it might even make you feel worse, and if you're anything like me you'd run the risk of making some unwise decisions. Um ya, last year I took way too much adderall and ecstasy, which in return made me really anxious and paranoid. I kept asking people to feel my pulse because I felt like my heart was going to pop out of my chest. Then I asked this paramedic if my heart beat was irregular, ect. He proceded to tell me that I was going to die if I didn't get to the E.R. , and no he wasn't joking. So I freaked out, and made my friend blow off his date to take me to the hospital. Well I was a little nuts by that point and I ran into the E.R. screaming at the top of my lungs "I'm gonna die"! Ya, well I'm still here and after a 900 dollar hospital bill billed to my parents I pretty much learned my lesson. Oh, ya there wan't anything wrong with me. My muscles were just constricted which led me to believe that I was having a heart attack.
 
You CAN OD on Adderall, enough to die in fact, but it would take a fucking lot. Long before you die (assuming you have no heart condition) you will feel paranoid, nervous, and shitty as all hell -- not a fun experience.
i'm pretty sure that thats impossible bc adderall is a perscription drug and I always thought that it was impossible to build a tolerance on perscription drugs.This is bullshit -- prescription drugs are really NO DIFFERENT than most abused drugs, hell, cocaine is a prescription drug, and so is heroin (in Britain at least I think.) You CAN get a big tolerance to Adderall... what's worse, this appears to be permanent.
I don't do stims often -- no more than once every couple weeks, on average less, not very much at once -- but it takes me 60+ mg of Adderall to have a good time now, whereas it only took 30mg when I first started. If you listen to Phreex and some other ex-stim fiends they will tell you that small amounts of stimulants just put them to sleep now.... sucks.

As for Chong, why would you want to take 100 mg anyways? It's quite possible that you won't need to take that much, and if you are happy taking 60 mg why would you take more? If you think Tom is cooler because he can do 100 mg while you can only do 60 mg, then you're being stupid because YOU are the lucky one, and can get high more cheaply. And possibly, he wasn't even feeling that great at that high a dose (this depends on his tolerance of course).
More is not necessarily better...even if you take more and it's not dangerous, if you take TOO much then it won't be enjoyable either. At higher doses the bad side effects of stimulants (anxiety, hypertension (high blood pressure/pounding heart), troublesome hallucinations etc) become alot more pronounced. If you start getting these side effects too strongly, you have taken too much.
