Stimulants adderall fucked my nose and throat up BAD... time to see a doctor?

to put it short, I love adderall, it is probably my favorite pill. I usually have a fun night with 45mg insufflated, however, last weekend I decided to go all out and rail a total of 65mg.It was an amazing night, but ever since, not so much.

That night, I railed most of the 65mg and smoked maybe 5-10mg. (dumb I know) I don't usually do this but I wanted the extra rush, and I was pretty fucked up so my inhibitions were lowered. I had also taken a valium the day before, which may have contributed to my problems, idk.

The next day, I wake up feeling sicker than a fucking dog. My nose was all stuffed up, I was coughing constantly and my throat hurt like hell. It was somewhat hard to breathe and smoking cigarettes temporarily helps but makes it worse in the long run.

My snot had blood in it, my shit had blood in it, 2 things which Ive never gotten from adderall before. The next day (Monday) it was worse... it felt like I had a bad cold, there was still a little blood in my snot but not in my shit... going to bed was fucking miserable because I was literally coughing every second.

Waking up today, it feels a little better, but when I woke up my snot was all green and yellow, and at one point I actually saw chunks of slimy adderall in it. The back of my nose hurts like hell and honestly I want to rip out my nose with a knife.


Is this a possible sinus infection? should I see a doctor or just ride it out? I'm definetly staying away from sniffing powder for quite some time...


EDIT: also, I should clarify that my snot was only green when I first woke up, now my snot is either clear or cloudy, hence the reason Im wondering if I should just take some meds and ride it out
 
I don't know dude but I think it's quite possibly because you smoked the pill. I don't know if a doctor will be able to do anything for you, unless it's a bacterial infection you've got.

Yeah thats what I think too... Ive smoked them before they usually give me a cough for a few days but nothing like this... ive certainly never had blood in my shit before

But how does this affect my nose? yeah my nose is stuffy a little the day after but never like this... and i know ive sniffed more powder than this in the past.
 
Anytime you have blood in your stool, especially fresh blood it is something to be very concerned about and should be evaluated by a dr. You don’t have to tell them about your stimulant abuse and they should be able to do a fairly quick and easy test in a regular dr office to test and see if you still have blood in your stool. I really don’t think this has anything to do with the adderal but it really is something that you should get looked at as it can be a sign of some very serious problems.

As for your lung, throat and nose issues I would assume that it is a result of the large amounts of powder you snorted/smoked. It does sound like you might have a sinus infection and if you continue to feel ill and have any kind of discharge, especially green or brown you should probably see a doctor. Again you don’t have to tell the Dr about the adderal as sinus infections are very common and many people get them, especially this time of year.

If I were you my biggest concern would be the lung issues as smoking things like pills can actually cause some real damage even with one time use. If your lung issues continue and you are coughing up blood I would seek medical attention ASAP. In this case it might be wise to just bite the bullet and tell the doctor about smoking the pills. Just tell them that you had consumed too much alcohol on a night out with friends and someone talked you into doing it and in your state of mind at the time you made a stupid bad decision. Just try to express the fact that this is not something that you have done before and will never do it again and that you are worried about your health now. Most doctors will be understanding that people do stupid shit sometimes and just treat your health issues with out trying to make it a substance abuse/mental health issue.

Well there was only a little blood and it only happened once. I wont be concerned unless I see blood again (ive been checking every time i go to the bathroom)

Im not so worried about my lungs. They are better today and honestly I have a feeling the cough is from post-nasal drip. The throat pain is probably irritation from all the cigarettes and the adderall I smoked. My biggest concern is my nose.

I figured Id have to wait and out and see if it gets better, but I was just wondering if any1 on here had a similar experience and what they did about it

Im going to attempt to irrigate my nose soon however it is difficult because my nose is all stuffed up.

Are there specific symptoms I should be looking for in terms of lung damage from the pill?

EDIT: I did a webmd checkup, it says the blood in stools is caused from an "anal fissure" (lol) it says its caused from either excessive diharrea or constipation. This makes sense as I was obviously shitting like crazy from being all amped up, and not to be graphic but every time I shit on uppers I always try to get it out as quick as possible because im sitting on the toilet pinging like crazy and all I want to do is get up and move.

If your not worried about your lungs or the blood in your stool and your main concern is your nose, and you are still having irritation, stuffiness along with discharge then just go to the doctor and tell them you think you may have a sinus infection.

I don’t think a sinus infection is a serious threat to your health unless the infection spreads to other parts of your body or your blood. However sinus infections are very common and easily treated and unless you don’t have health insurance or can’t afford a visit to the doctor I see no reason to prolong any suffering the infection may be causing you. Also I have a history of sinus infections and have found in the past that they always seem to spread and turn into upper respiratory infections when not treated. Respiratory infections can be a little more dangerous than sinus infections as once it gets into your lungs you risk getting pneumonia and the like.

Bro, just go to the doctor, you can go to a walk in clinic and be in and out in 20 mins and the meds to treat this are usually fairly cheap. Why make yourself suffer and risk any other possible health issues?

I understand that you have some concerns since this seems to have come about from abusing stims, but in some ways that is irrelevant. Shit for all you know you were developing a sinus infection before you even did the addies and the irritation from snorting and smoking the powder along with the slight suppression of your immune system just made the infection come on quicker and stronger.

I don’t think anyone here can tell you more about what is going on with your body or what happened. All we can really tell you is to go to the doctor and not smoke or snort pills in the future if you think it caused you these problems.
 
sounds like its just a combo of weather, a cold and the fact you snorted a pill. i wouldnt be too concerned tbqh.

^Precisely. The fact that both your snot and stool contained blood should seriously concern you. If all these symptoms as a whole don't dissipate, I would really go to a doctor.
 
Well today I wake up and my sinuses are worse than ever. The burn is unbearable so Im going to the doc for sure. I just dont kno what to say, I don't want to tell him I was sniffing drugs.

If you haven't already gone to the doctor (you certainly should over the sinus problem--you could say saw dust irritated it days ago and it's gotten worse), I just wanted to provide a different perspective on the bloody stools--if it was fresh blood in your stool, it's not necessarily serious, particularly if it happened when your bowels were stimulated. I have what could probably be considered irritable bowels and they are very sensitive to caffeine and, to a lesser degree, most other stimulants with coke being a close number 2 (I'm so sorry for this pun). Put simply, stimulated bowels can push not-yet-ready logs downstream prematurely with violent, explosive results. Bleeding often occurs in my case (I'd say 1 in 3 times following a cup of coffee) if these premature, soft, sometimes formless stools propelled by excess gas and increased involuntary movement push less hydrated (the colon sucks up excess water), ready-to-evacuate stools out in a manner that can cause superficial tears--NOT the kind that leaks waste into the rest of your body resulting in septecimea. While stimulant-related bleeding is most common for me to experience while under the effects, as described above, I also pass the same fresh, bright-red blood after "holding it in" despite the pressure and going after the stimulation has subsided. I haven't reasoned out exactly why the delayed bleeding in that scenario occurs, and I can only say the outcome is the same: a premature, explosive evacuation that still manages to tear the lining.

By all means, mention that part to the doc as well, but if he doesn't realize you're a recreational stimulant user (or isn't familiar with explosive diarrhea resulting from drug-induced bowel stimulation), he could overreact and send you to a costly specialist, which tend to carry a very pricey co-pay for visits these day, if you're insured. If you bleed again and during a normal, peaceful bowel movement, you will definitely need to follow up on it with your doctor. Black stools, on the other hand, often contain older blood, with generally more serious implications pointing upstream. This is simply my experience. I would wait for further indications of a bowel problem for now and just let him know about the sinuses. Two cases of internal bleeding with a doctor unaware of the likely drug-related, fairly common cause of both is asking for an overreaction. Your sinus problem, however common among frequent intranasal users, does sound much worse than a typical cocaine nosebleed or DMT-irritated throat.

So like saturday night, i blew about 10mg xr(i love U xr for being so dilutable:)) And of course, no effect, just not asleep..
Then sunday i started feeling a sinus infection comming on(nasal cavity soreness, cough, sore throat) i figured it was a sinus infectioun so i called the doc up for a script of antibiotics and codeine syrup..Got it and by monday, my nose was in pretty bad pain, felt like i snorted some salt that was heated to appx. 1000degrees farenhieiht..

So natrally i drank half the bottle of cough syrup(appx. 240mg codeine 180prometh) and got stoned off that, then smoked a blunt of some good haze so i was pain free all day yesterday..

Today woke up at 1:30pm(very unusual for me) and my lugees were all blood ridden and shit..but good news is i think im starting to get better...No weed though so im still in pain

Anyway what i learned from this is DONT SNORT SHIT..unless it only takes like barely any to get high..
 
I feel like smoking the adderall (cmon guys really? lol jus teasin, ive smoked oxys so im guilty too haha) contributed to your throat and lung issues.

did you use a bill to snort the addy? because money is dirty you may have gotten bacteria in your nose, and then to top that off it would be able to multiply because the white blood cells cant get to them because they're suspended in the powder. Try using a netti pot, this will help clean out your nose and sinuses, it will also get any leftover powder out of your nose so if you don't want to tell your doc you wont have too.

It sounds like you're gettin sick tho bud. If I were you I'd do the netti pot once in each nostril then go to the doctor if it doesn't start getting better..

Also for anyone who snorts things ever anyway, a netti pot is the most amazing thing for your nose. I do it the day after a snorting binge of any kind. Also whenever your stuffy or are sick it's great to clear mucous and bacteria out of your sinuses and nose.
 
I agree a Neti Pot is an essential part of anyone who snorts anything's drug kit. However, it's best if you use it 15-30 minutes after your last line/bump so it doesn't get gross overnight.
 
I just want to reiterate a few points here. Smoking pills is ALWAYS a bad idea, and not a joke. Serious damage can be done to the lungs when the fillers and binders are combusted and then inhaled. Not to mention the efficacy is extremely low as opposed to the very high oral bioavailability.

The same fillers and binders are obviously not going to be much better for your extremely sensitive and fined-tuned nasal passages. In my opinion, if you're experience even the slightest problem, drawback or issue from your current route of administration, it's time to shift gears and look at the big picture.

Anyway, it sounds like you have a pretty bad sinus infection, the likely culprit being all the inactive crap you shoved up your nasal cavities. You really need to get checked out by a doctor as not only is it nearly impossible to figure out what is actually wrong with you over the internet, but since blood is involved it can potentially be serious.
