Stimulants Adderall Dry Mouth Side Effects

Yesterday I took a fairly good sized dose of Adderall XR and IR. During the peak, which lasted about 12 hours, my mouth became very dry (as expected). But I got a repetitive nervous tongue movement that would only stop if I consciously tried to stop it. So needless to say this tongue movement was occuring non-stop for quite a few hours.

Today I woke up, and my tongue is extremely sore. You know the feeling when you burn a little bit of your tongue from a hot drink? Well it feels like that but over almost all of the tongue. Most of the surface area has been rubbed enough to cause some red-ness and mild swelling.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions how to quicken the healing process and/or reduce the amount of pain.

The only way I've found is if you keep drinking water before and durring the peak. If you start while you peak it's like it runs through your throat and does nothing, unless you've had enough before. I hate that snake tongue thing, it's so obvious you're on amp when you get it(to people around me anyways)..
Don't drink too much though, just keep drinking small amounts.

Use Biotene products. I'm not kidding, they will save your oral health. Brush with the biotene toothpaste, then use the biotene mouthwash, then use the "Oral Balance Gel" (which is basically synthetic saliva). It will cure your problem.

I get my braces off tomorrow and have to take a medicine that induces dry mouth. Tis going to be miserable with the current state of my tongue.

But it was just as stimulating, if not more. Slightly less euphoria and duration. Less intense crash.

I would agree with Sykoknot, meth is more euphoric to a certain degree. Adderall has more of a physical push to it (if you get good, pure dextro-methamphetamine) but overall they both have potential.

They both can be neurotoxic, so I don't encourage anyone to use meth or Adderall frequently if they are partaking for recreational effects.

Most people would prefer meth for "getting high" when compared to Adderall.

Speaking from 6 months of straight Adderall abuse, I would say that NO ONE should indulge in recreational use for more than a couple days straight. I (barely) remember going on a four-day straight no sleep binge with nothing ingested but Milo's sweet tea and by the time I was done I didn't even know what a fucking bed was...

he speaks the truth.yeah adderall is fun but its hard on your body.

I had a question about side effects of adderall.

When im coming down and dont have anything to help with the crappy feeling.
I tend to get bad headache and my sholders and neck hurt from tensing up
with out paying attention then when it wheres off i start to feel the pain.
Is there any thing that will help this no be as bad?

Wow this thread is nose diving hard. OP the mouth is one of the fastest healing parts of the body due to high blood flow. Any sort of painkillers are your best bet for pain and as for it healing you could try that biotene or just lay of the french kissing for a while.
