So i just bought 5 dexidrine 15mg extended release. In my town finals are coming up, so basically i wanna take these to study. However with me being only 112 pounds and 5.8 height and never taking these drugs before, will splitting the pills into 5mg and crushing the beads inside and drinking with water a good idea? i only want focus that will last 4 hours so is this a good idea? (also i dont have adhd) Please help, and please only answer if you used these drugs please dont infer as i dont want anything bad to happen to me tnx!

also will taking these on exam day a good idea? i do really bad in english class, will these help me concentrate and do better?

I would take the 5 mg worth of beads (1/3 of the 15 mg Dexedrine Spansule) as a single dose, with the beads intact. I know you say you only want 4 hours of focus, but from personal experience, even the extended-release formulations do not prolong the more positive effects of amphetamine by all that much - I, really, believe you will do better with a dose of 5 mg of the extended-release beads taken orally with the beads simply swallowed. It will last a bit longer, but my gut tells me my suggestion is best.

I wouldn't wait until the last minute to test how your body/mind reacts or that could completely screw you on your exams. Do what alexia said and test the waters with that and see how it goes, and adjust SLOWLY from there.

Yes I completely agree with trylnerror. Start off slowly and continue testing which dosage works for you. The LAST thing you want is to go out on a limb the day of exams and walk into class far to tweaked to function properly. IME a couple fairly good signs that you've reached the perfect dosage would be when you begin to "lock on" to the object at task, feeling more motivated to finish the task at hand and finish it with the highest quality you are capable of. Just a little advise to take as you please:D
