Adderall and Xanax?

Do Doctors prescribe Adderall and Xanax at the same time? I honestly feel like I need both of these not just one.

It is actually not uncommon for doctors to prescribe an amphetamine (such as Adderall) and a benzodiazepine at the same time. In fact, a few close of my friends have Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) and Klonopin (clonazepam) prescriptions from the same doctor. If your doctor will prescribe them both, well, there's no way to tell...and we're not going to tell you what to tell a doctor to acquire these prescriptions.

Yes, doctors do prescribe them together regularly. Adderall being a stimulant and a very helpful aid for ADD,also has a long list of side effects and one side effect is anxiety and increased heart rate and blood pressure. And can be very scary for a Loy of people so doctors will prescribe an anti anxiety medication along with it.

But I would suggest you not to take the medications at the same time.

Yes, benzos and psychostimulants (amphetamines and others) are often scripted together by the same doc.

I took adderall for a very long time and still do too this day.

At first it went great but after i had to up my dosage (30mg xr x1 a day too 30mg xr x3 a day) i needed something to deal with the anxiety and restlessness that came at night when it wore off.

My doctor, of which i have good relationship with, was all for prescribing both. xanax did wonders for sleep and preventing serious anxiety.

You do have the option to take a non stimulant ADD medication that does not have thte same serious harmful effectts of adderakl. And then you wouldn't need even more medications running your life.
