Stimulants Adderall and MDMA Question

Hey. So I've been taking 25 MG of Adderall XR for the past month. A couple weekends ago, I tried taking 2 caps of MDMA and unfortunately felt absolutely nothing; in fact, I felt a little bit down.

I decided to stop taking Adderall last Saturday, and I am planning to try popping some MDMA this coming Saturday. Does anyone know the chances of it working this time? Or should I wait longer? I know that Adderall cancels out the affects of MDMA, which is why I'm wondering if a week without taking it will be enough time.

Amphetamine does not cancel out MDMA....

What happened is it sounds like you recieved some bunk "MDMA" was either just fake or low doses of shitty piperazines. If you manage to get actual Ectasy pills try looking them up on the pillreports forum on BL or Ectasydata.org for your area.

Remember Ectasy is NOTORIUS for bunk, fake, and/or containing anything but actual MDMA.
 
Hey. thanks for the response. They were actually really good pills, a friend of mine took the same batch and I have taken them a few months ago, too. So im pretty sure it was the mix of adderall and mdma.
 
That makes absolutely no sense. You definitely got fake pills. I'm 99.99% sure that there's no cross-tolerance between amphetamines and MDMA.

If you said you took some of these pills a few months ago, there's almost no chance that you're still getting the same pills. When a batch of pills is made, they would get sold really fast. There's just no way that any dealer would be in possession of pills he bought months ago unless he's the world's worst drug dealer.

It seems like what happened is either your friend lied about the pills being good to seem cool, or if he was the one you got them from, to get you to buy his bunk pills or he just doesn't know what he's talking about.

There's really just no way that the Adderall canceled out the effects of MDMA and that you'd be getting pills from the same batch you had gotten months ago.
 
I'd assume if anything Adderall would potentiate the effects of MDMA, or at least complement them. A lot of what people would call 'good' MDMA pills contains amphetamines as well as MDMA.
 
Really? Are we sure there's zero cross-tolerance between amphetamine and MDMA. I'm by no means a chemist, or a doctor. But that just doesn't seem right. It was my understanding that MDMA is very closely related to amphetamine (it's the A in MDMA). If you were on a regimen of amphetamine daily like that, I would think the quality of your roll would be degraded at least a little bit.

If anyone has a retort I'd love to hear it, I'm wicked curious.

They should have some cross-tolerance. Whether it's downregulation of dopamine receptors or metabolic tolerance (since I'd think amphetamine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine or at least some of their metabolites would be processed by some of the same enzymes), there's most likely some.

Dopamine definitely plays a big part in the effects of ecstasy, but 25mg Adderall XR a day shouldn't account for that much reduction in effects, especially since the serotonergic effects count for much of the "love" type feelings.
 
Doubtful that you're adderall use had anything to do with mdma not working, it was probably just weak or not mdma.

Dopamine doesn't account for the majority of the effects of MDMA, although nobody could doubt it has an important part. Even if there was some cross-tolerance, that wouldn't account for there being absolutely NO effects. If anything you'd expect maybe less stimulation and if anything else maybe a little less euphoria but since the OP experienced absolutely no effects it would appear the pills are to blame rather than the adderall.
 
No cross-tolerance between MDMA and amphetamines. In fact, every time I've used an amphetamine/MDMA mix I've been super happy with the combination. A little bit too happy, actually.

Bunk pills, dude.
 
Last weekend I was drunk then took 60 mg adderall with little tolerance and felt it good, then proceeded to take 2 rolls in hour intervals and felt those insanely good. I was also doin bags of dope all night too (sniffed) so no i dont think adderall would do anything to an e high
