Adderall and Hypersexuality?

Has anyone experienced hypersexuality as a side effect of adderall? I've been taking 20mg XR once in the morning for about two weeks now and I've noticed that my sex drive has been through the roof (like 5+ times a day.) Is this a known/normal side effect of adderall?
 
Yes, amphetamine as well as methamphetamine in particular are known to have this effect. Very common, you're probably not a complete sex fiend (yet). A few ATS's commonly have this side effect.
 
^the difficulty in getting or maintaining erection is from the vasoconstriction preventing adequate blood flow to the penis. this is more prominent on higher doses.
 
I had this side effect as well when using Adderall years ago. I found that its quite common.

Frustrating sometimes though since I found it difficult to maintain an erection all the way through.

Is anyone still out there? I have been through the roof. Even after sex, 20 min later its intence again. It is driving me nuts, and you can guess my wife too. Have you been able to reduce effects in any way. I told to Dr, and he just smiled said how some would like to be in my shoes. I told him its to much. I still need the pills, and have not increased dose in year.

You could try switching over to Dexedrine, and see if that helps at all. Or, you can try a lower dose to see if that helps decrease the frequency.
 
hell yeah. sometimes i daydream about how it would be nice to take some meth or dextro amp with my gf and just fuck all day long. it does affect the ability to get hard though do to vasoconstriction. thats what viagra is for. i used to jerk off like a feind when i took that stuff in college. it feels so fucking good.

adderall has levo amphetamine in it which causes more peripheral nervous stimulation and somatic side effects, i would switch to dextroamphetamine and it should help.
 
Yup it will get you horny. Sometimes 2 horny.

I take lexparo so it kind of off puts the "hornyness" but not all the time.

Maintaining an erection is the tough part as randomly during the act I guess the blood flow wont be as strong so ull get softer but keep tuggin, or whatevers goin on for long enough and ull be able too.

I rememember it took me about an hour when I was on 80mg....holy fuck was worth it tho

every damn time I do it. My dose is also 7 times more than that however.
 
Oh man, when I was on Adderall there were nights where I literally spent 12 hours watching porn. It also causes vasoconstriction, so I was essentially flogging a wet noodle!!! :ROFLMAO:

Yes, it can be eliminated by a healthy regiment
