Adderall and Hives

I've been taking Adderall for months with no issues. Two days ago I started getting hives right after taking it. Even if I reduce the dosage by 75% I get hives. Is it the Adderall causing this or could be something else that I'm allergic too and the Adderall just makes it worse?

How soon after taking addy does the hives appear? Sounds like histamine reaction, or allergy. You should definately see your Dr. about this and perhaps discontinue until you do.

Sometimes this comes up if it is a sulfate complex, which i think adderall might be. Look to see if it says "racemic amphetamine sulfate" or something to that effect on the label.

Sulfates are in a lot of things but i remember someone i know in high school couldnt take adderall because of it.

Happens almost within minutes after taking it. I'm just wondering why this has taken so long to happen.
