Stimulants Adderall and Dexedrine together?

Has anyone ever taken adderall (20mg 3x a day), and Dexedrine ER 15Mg (in the morning only) together??

Is this combo safe? What are your experiences? I have legit ADD and these two together seem to really help on many levels.
 
They're basically the same medication. They're safe to mix. Adderall is 75% dextroamphetamine 25% levoamphetamine. Dexedrine is 100% dextroamphetamine. 75mg of amphetamine is a very high dose to be taking daily. If u notice ur not feeling good, can't sleep, r depressed, and aren't eating ask your doc to lower the dose. I'm on Adderall 25mg XR and that's more than enough for me.

See if ur doc will give u just dexedrine. There are two isomers of amphetamine; dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine. Levoamphetamine isn't good it has very little affinity for the dopamine receptors, it's mostly just a epinephrine releaser. Levoamphetamine contributes to negative side effects such as anxiety and not wanting to eat. If u were just on dextroamphetamine u would require a lower dose to get the same effects and have less side effects.

It's 100% safe.
 
It's safe, dexedrine is just D-amp while adderall is mostly d-amp with some l-amp..... so you'd be taking a better ratio of the good part ( dextroamphetamine ) to bad part ( levoamphetamine ).
 
Hey! You guys are awesome for the replies! I gotta tell you 15MG ER Dexedrine in the AM with my 20mg of adderall, has REALLY been helping me. Helping with social issues, as well as focus issues, and eating issues. I believe I will be switched to the IR version, and here's where I am SO CONFUSED.

Can anybody please tell me WHAT exactly is the deal with Dexedrine IR?? My pharmacy said they are only able to order 5mg IR tablets. He seems to think those are the only ones that are actually even made. Then, I called another pharmacy and she said she could order 5 or 10mg.

How does Dexedrine IR come??? I need to know because I dont think my Dr even knows that this is an issue. I believe he wrote me a script for 15mg dexedrine, and they automatically filled it as ER.

I need to know exactly what MG's DEXEDRINE IR (BRAND AND GENERIC) come in? Thank you so much!

You can easily find this out by google... If you havnt found this out yet:

Dex IR come in either 5mg or 10mg.

In the USA they used to make 15mg but have not for a while.

There is NO brand Dexedrine IR in the USA. Dex has been around since the 1930's so def all generic.
There is NO brand Dexedrine ER (spansules) in the USA.
 
should be safe, and probably healthier than taking all that in just adderall every day, since l-amp is a bitch on the pns.
 
I think it should work out fine, I if anything a smoother come-down than the Adderall would be by itself. I'd start with the Adderall in the morning though, and the Dexedrine at night.

If I remember correctly Adderall is a mixture 25% levoamphetamine (more racey, physically stimulating) and 75% dextroamphetamine (more euphoric, more mentally focusing than levo), while Dexedrine is 100% dextroamphetamine. If memory serves me I find pure Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) to be a superior pill--noticeably smoother--despite the tendency for them to come in smaller doses, tend to be more euphoric with less of a "crack-out" feel.

Have yet to try Desoxyn, heard it's nearly indistinguishable from high quality shard stuffed into a capsule. Trouble is, the pills pricey from what I've heard.
