Adderall + Ambien + Lorazepam

SWIM took this one day
Note: SWIM is prescribed Adderall 10mg 3x daily and skips weekends, no tolerance really.
SWIM has no tolerance to anything
SWIM is diagnosed Social Anxiety Disorder and ADHD PI

8am - 10mg Adderall IR, 1.5mg Lorazepam, 5mg Ambien

SWIM felt relieved of Anxiety, and the Adderall helped his schoolwork as always

Noon - 20mg Adderall IR, 10mg Ambien

SWIM felt like his anxiety was gone completely



Was SWIM at risk of any heart damage and such?
SWIM wasn't registered here at the time when SWIM did this, please no negative reps for doing it before consulting this forum

Swim might try different doses of benzos/ambien to find the lowest dose for anxiety relief even when put in an extremely social situation

SWIMs goal is not to get high, SWIMs goal is to relieve his social anxiety and then consulting SWIMs psychiatrist about benzos

SWIM is 20 155lbs

You have no risk of heart damage unless you have underlying issues.

I recommend only using ambien to come down at night. Only use the Lorazepam during the day.

you are diagnosed with SAD but only are scripted adderall?

you do not get to experiment on your own and then tell the doc what you like best. if you need something for you anxiety, talk to your psych about it.

and i am not telling you what to do, but if you mention taking pills that were not prescribed to you, many doctors will make a record of that and be very hesitant to prescribe you controlled substances.

Yeah, I have another appointment in 2 weeks

My psych said he doesn't like prescribing meds for anxiety because of how addictive etc. they are and reccomended therapists and such

I think I'm just gonna tell my doc I had 2 panic attacks in the last month completely unrelated to my adderall and to give me something fast acting that wont make me wait 6 weeks to see if it works
(antidepressants take too much time to kick in... and i never take anything daily)

I'd definitely stay away from the ambien because it's hypnotic abilities act in very strange ways
If your doctor wants to give you a benzo, that seems to be the right thing for you
But if he doesn't prescribe it to you, in the medical sense, you don't really need it
In fact, if you are prescribed adderall and you need a benzo to counter-act it, it seems like you don't really have ADD/ADHD as most people with these diseases find relaxation/comfort in taking adderall and don't need benzos/hypnotics at all

I find relaxation at 20mg of Adderall IR
and relieved anxiety, completely

SSRI's work on anxiety and depression, but you're right they take forever to take effect. Plus, sometimes you have to go through 2 or 3 SSRI's before you find the one that works for you. So I don't see anything wrong in asking for some anti-anxiety medications like benzos. Lorazepam is a good one, so is alprazolam, and diazepam and clonazepam are good aswell.
