Hello, so I read that modafinil is an inhibitor of the catecholamine transporters, DAT and NET. As such, it seems reasonable to conclude that nuvigil will block many of the desired effects of adderall at the right doses. According to wiki, the half-life of modafinil is 12-15 hours.
So my question is, If I took 250mg of Nuvigil, would taking adderall 12 or 14 hours later result in diminished effects? I have 100mg and I was planning on taking it over the course of the night to help me prepare for my exams (plan on staying up all night).
I'd rather not waste my adderall though, so what are your thoughts on any blocking effect the nuvigil will have 12 or 14 hours later?
My secondary question is would the nuvigil still have those blocking effects while it is in my system, but not exactly "active?" In other words, does the inhibition of DAT still occur while there is modafinil in the body, but after it has worn off?
I appreciate your time. (Mods: Wasn't sure whether to put this in basic or advanced, so feel free to move as you see fit.)
