Well i take adderall occasionally for school, but yesterday i took my addy at about 1pm. went to school, got home and popped a 10mg ambien. (around1030) watched some tv ate something, and layyed down, couldnt sleep at all, so i get up and pop another ambien. To my surprise about 15 min after taking i got this warm fuzzy feeling, and looked at my wall and this painting i have made me wanna throw up, it was tripping me out so bad. I make about 5 phone calls, only kinda remebering one of them. left some voicemails to ppl i normally wouldnt have called. of course all my friends call me today makin fun of me and shit, but i was wondering if this had something to do with the addys during the day, and doubling the dose of ambien?

thanksss:\

Yes, it was because of the ambien. If you don't fall asleep right after taking it, it has a tendency for you to do weird shit and not remember. It probably had little to do with the adderall. Its nothing to worry about, just make sure you don't take a bunch and drive or anything like that.

Also, you might want to try the forum I'm about to link you to. This type of question fits there better: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=16

^ You mean what is the appeal of ambien? I dunno. It works well as a sleeping pill. And if you take enough and don't sleep, you see some pretty weird shit. Thats about it really. To me, its practical. For others, its highly recreational.

In general it was fun, but im the guy who hates xanax, wakin up and not remebering anything. but the euphoric feelin was really intense, up until i passed out.=D

Ambien isn't an anticholinergenic.

OD===>BDD

I assumed it was from the general fucked upness/schizo behaviour/realistic hallucinations.

Ambien hallucinations were cool the first few times until they started to really freak me out. I could be sitting in a room by myself watching TV, but it felt like there were dozens of others there just watching me. Not me idea of fun. If you're gonna take it, go to bed afterwards, or switch to benzos like me.

when u say benzos what u mean, there are so many diff. lost?

Benzodiazepines consist of Valium (diazepam), Xanax (alprazolam), Ativan (Lorazepam, Klonopin (clonazepam), Restoril (temazepam) and many others. All benzodiazepines exert five major effects which are used therapeutically: anxiolytic, hypnotic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant and amnesic.

All benzodiazepines act by enhancing the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA "tells" the neurons that it contacts to slow down or stop firing. 40% of the millions of neurons all over the brain respond to GABA, this means that GABA has a general quietening influence on the brain acting as the body's natural hypnotic and tranquillizer. Various subtypes of benzodiazepine receptors have slightly different actions. One subtype (alpha 1) is responsible for sedative effects, another (alpha 2) for anti-anxiety effects, and both alpha 1 and alpha 2, as well as alpha 5, for anticonvulsant effects. All benzodiazepines combine, to a greater or lesser extent, with all these subtypes and all enhance GABA activity in the brain. Example: Clonazepam has potent action on the alpha 2 and 5 subtypes which is why its useful for various forms of epilepsy and as an excellent anti-anxiety agent.

Ambien (zolpidem tartrate) is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic. Its hypnotic effects are similar to benzodiazepines, but its molecularly distinct from the classical benzodiazepine molecule and is classified as an imidazopyridine.

However, as an anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant, the beneficial effects emerge at nearly 20 times the dose required for sedation. For that reason, it has never been approved for either muscle relaxation or seizure prevention. Such drastically increased doses are more inclined to induce one or more negative side-effects, including hallucinations and/or amnesia.

If you don't lay down to get sleep within roughly 15-45 minutes of consumption, more than likely it won't be a useful sleep aid. It will probably become tougher to get to sleep before even taking it and may experience stimulation. Repeated dosing isn't very useful if trying to actually get sleep. You may experience hallucinations and if you've taken a high enough dose you may wake up not having a clue what happened the night before.

The first few times I took Ambien I experienced some nifty visual hallucinations but haven't ever since, well with one exception when I split a prescription of 20 10mg tabs. I remember very little. Somehow we ended up at a park and while sitting on the children's swing set, we watched some guy filming a couple fuck in the grass. I remember having a conversation with the couple after they fucked and out of nowhere I blurted out "do you have any ketamine?" I don't recall anything after that but I woke up at a different friends house.

...and by the way, the Adderall that you took roughly 9 hours before consuming the Ambien had nothing to do with your experience.

I was prescribed Ambien a while ago, and honestly don't understand how in the world anyone can sleep on that stuff. Even after taking it right when I went to bed the pill would kick in and start tripping me out before I could fall asleep, and once that happened sleep for that night was pretty much impossible. I didn't get so much visual hallucinations as I did auditory ones, which really freaked me out, esp when you are sitting in bed all alone with the lights turned out.. freaky shit, tried them prolly 3 times and ended up flushing them down the toilet one night because I got so pissed off at them one night, enough was enough.

Hahaha. .

The one time I took ambien, I thought there was a trilobyte living under my bed that would scuttle out from time to time.

Not exactly 'fun' though. It's kind of like insta-sleep-deprivation.

Same here. I could lay down in my bed right after consumption and not achieve any sleep, just hypnotic produced hallucinations. Although they were very minor, with the exception of the first few times that I've taken them. I'd double dose but neither was that effective for my sleep issues. I've been prescribed them for years but haven't taken them for months. I have like six scripts of them lying around. Yeah, I know...why keep accepting prescriptions if I'm not going to take them. You never know when scripts may come in handy, or for someone else at a very reasonable price, I'm joking...

That's funny- I can sleep on it just fine. In fact it knocks me out within 1/2 hour and I'm out for the night. The only thing is the next day I generally feel hang-over like effects. Not too bad though.

I took 20mg of CR Ambien. The room was breathing, this lepoard print blanket thing's spot were moving around, I saw a jungle inside the blanket, and I got naked pictures of a girl that I just met...

needless to say ambien is good shit :P

the only way i can use them for sleep is by plugging a 10mg ambien crushed finely in a solution, needless syringe up the butt, then wham... fucked within minutes and unable to stand up even if i try.

when i want to have fun with it, just make a line here or there mixed in with a bit of adderall IRs...or just speedbump (new word?=D) up the rump!

the rush is really nice, imo...very warm and tingly, takes the edge off the adderall and feels great once you figure out how much of each you prefer at once.

play safe kids (talking to myself as well%) )

shit it's hard to type when the page is moving away from me....=D

thursday night:

70mg vyvanse
T+1:00 - 15mg ambien mixed with some decent vodka
T+3:00 - total blackout. my friend filled me in on the happenings afterwards.. apparently i was functioning just fine at a club i normally go to, had conversations with friends, and made a deal for cutting a record with this dude (kind of know him already, so it's all good)...

so nothing weird, but shit i hate not remembering even being at the club or seeing anyone there 8o

usually i remember bits and pieces at least...

btw, the visuals are pretty amazing indeed. you have to already be sleep deprived to get anything decent tho.. after a day or two without sleep then popping an ambien10, i'll see ripple patterns- letters sway from side to side, melt, and with higher doses &/or added sleep-deprivation, i've experienced full on visuals: human forms, faces in my closet, flashing lights out of nowhere, halos surround visible objects in dark environments, floor pattern shifting, street lines zig-zag, walls come in and out or "breathe", objects appear really big or small at different times..

not much different from (moderate) LSD visuals.. altho the trip is different. the ambien trip is a creature all its own

i definitely enjoy it, but even two nights straight of recreational use gets pretty draining and depressing for me... so i use my meds to sleep, use smallest doses i need, and save the fun for one night a week maximum

peace

Tried this last night - 10 mg Ambien + 5mg Adderall, then re-upped with the same mixture again a few hours later. Really, really fun and silly, and sort of made me want to jump my ex. *cough* Word to the wise: do not add blow, unless you want to throw up.

ambien + adderall = cartoon funny land

I could not agree more.

I still love this combo till this day.

The most energetic, stress free high I ever will have in my life.

If you do this combo always match release forms.

Adderall XR = Ambien CR
Adderall IR = Ambien

And let the games of life begin!!!!!!!!!!
