Hi, I have a question for you guys...do you know if there is an association between d-amphetamine (adderal) and joint pain/swelling? I have had joint pain/swelling for 4 months now..dr's have tested me for lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, celiac, etc....an alternative medicine specialist says I have a gluten and milk sensitivity so i have gone gluten free and milk free...my left hand joint pain/swelling got a little better but now my right hand finger joints are all swollen...

I cannot figure out what's causing this..do you think it could be the drug? has anyone else had joint pain while on adderal? I was on it for approx. 7 months before this started..

You can try tappering the adderal and seeing if there is resolution. Typically inflamation doesn't resolve quickly but over time. Good excuse for a little opiates with your adderal;) Just kidding. You can try reducing the dose (say in half). Bupe was causing dermatitis and when I halved the dose, the dermatitis improved markedly. How much adderal are you on? Did the doc check your sed rate?

Well adderall creates an electrolyte imbalance in different ways. You sweat a lot while being stimulated by adderall, losing nutrients at a quicker pace than when it's not in your system. Also, adderall boosts the magnesium levels in the blood, so while on it you're body is using more than normal. Magnesium is very hard to replace in a typical diet, and you may have a deficiency. You can get magnesium supplements though, just don't get magnesium oxide, Doesn't really do anything except create frequent toilet EPLOSION!

Best things to do for that is drink gatorade G2(pretty much water with electrolytes), take a multivitamin to eliminate any deficiencies leading to this, and fish oil seriously. I had joint pains when i was working out full throttle and 3 days after taking fish oil 3 times daily, completely healed.

Minor allergic reaction to amphetmine? Even if your diet is terrible and overall you aren't a very healthy person this sounds pretty abnormal...try stopping it for a bit and see if the swelling goes down. If it does the only permanent solution is to stop taking adderall.
