Adderal creates more norephiphrine.dopamine ,ritalin merely blocks re-up-take.

Dri's

Apart from coke ,rit and amphets what drugs relase or block re-up take of dopamine.

Amphetamine does NOT create neurotransmitters.

It blocks the re-uptake of both dopamine and norepinephrine while also acting as a releasing agent, thus causing a fast increase of said neurotransmitters in the synapse. It also has a minor affinity for the serotonergic receptors, mostly in high doses.

Methylphenidate (Ritalin) on the other hand only blocks the re-uptake of dopamine and to a lesser degree, norepinephrine.

Sorry I meant release ,not make with Adderal vs rit. My bad.

All right but as I already said, amphetamine act as a releasing agent and re-uptake inhibitor while methylphenidate only works as a re-uptake inhibitor.

i guess you mean the opposite

even cocaine, which imo is a very subtle stim, has more affinity for NET than DAT

wiki should confirm that

Amphetamine does indeed trigger more dopamine production. I forget the exact mechanisms but it releases dopamine due to making the re uptake channels working in reverse, it inhibits its metabolism by lowering mono amine oxidase in high doses and triggers more production of dopamine. I think this is all on Wikipedia with citations anyways.

Above poster must be getting shit-on coke to say it is subtle lol.

I agree with neurotic. I believe the reason the above poster believes it isn't subtle cuz he's getting ampcaine lol. Coke was always a subtle euphoria when I first did it.

Well he's from South America so lets hope not. Getting bad coke in South America would be like going to Mexico and eating nothing but Taco Bell.

Subtle not weak euphoria. I guess it has to do with the fact it causes less physical stimulation, with MPH at any rec dose my heart feels like it will explode and theres this whole uneasiness... Coke gets me feeling like im on top of the world but its still an easy feeling.

That ofc when its snorted cuz imo Coke when slammed is the most intense rush of all...

Actually, I meant what I said, but I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong :)

I did a wiki check up and found this:

Methylphenidate is most active at modulating levels of dopamine and to a lesser extent norepinephrine.[95] Methylphenidate binds to and blocks dopamine transporters and norepinephrine transporters.[

While both amphetamine and methylphenidate are dopaminergic, it should be noted that their methods of action are distinct. Specifically, methylphenidate is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor while amphetamine is both a releasing agent and reuptake inhibitor of dopamine and norepinephrine. Each of these drugs has a corresponding effect on norepinephrine which is weaker than its effect on dopamine.
