Actiq fentanyl sucker oral bioavailability

I was told that with the actiq fentanyl sucker, you must rub it on your gums and let the saliva sit in your mouth and do not swallow or the potency is wasted. That doesn't sound right to me. I know oxycodone has a 90+% oral bioavailability and I would think a sucker would be the same. Frankly the annoyance of leaving saliva in your mouth wanting to swallow the whole time just doesn't even seem worth it.

There are drugs that are intended to be administered sublingually (under tongue) which is kind of a "mouth portal" haha.. I'm wondering if theres any truth at all coz as a recreational user I want as much as I can get out of it where a cancer patient with who gets it all day long might not care as much if any is wasted..

according to the offical video. youre suppose to rum it on the inside of your check. jsut keep workin it around. but in the vid you stop when teh pains gone, i dont suggest you stop, unless you start blackin out. then stop. BUT, feel freeto swallow the stuff in you mouth. it'll get into ya aswell. the stuff you swallow is suppose to last longer then the stuff absorbed in you cheek. good luck and enjoi your actiq. good shit.

actually that is exactly what it is like little portals that go straight into your bloodstream. the reason you would want to do this is to avoid it getting destroyed by first pass metabolism ie stomach acid,and liver metabolism

Just let it sit between your cheek and gums (rub/rotate it around a bit). W/ fentanyl, sublingual administration is much more effective than swallowing it due to first pass hepatic metabolism...if you want to get the most out of Actiq, sublingual is the way to go...

^^^ Between cheek and gums is buccal and under tongue is sublingual. BTW I know you know that (I've been here long enough), I am just confused as to which you are suggesting and which is more effective. Not that I would ever do it unless I cancer 8)

Twirl between gums and cheeks. Try not to swallow any saliva that has actiq in it; swirl it around your mouth as much as you can before swallowing. Try to finish the sucker in 15mins, no quicker, no later.

How easy is it to get a chunk of the pop dissolved into water, would one need to constantly agitate or would it dissolve just sitting in water. Or would powderizing a portion and pouring it into the back of the rig and cold shaking it work?

I have limited experience with lolly-pop's but always like the knowledge for future reference.

One would think that instead of bucal administration it would be better to take it sublingual since a slightly higher bio availability. Break the top of the pop of stick under your tongue and rub it into the area. I think there would be more absorbsion just because of the bigger tissue space. [take a couple rips of base first or weed what ever bone dries your mouth out]

I tried taking a couple base rips but then forgot I had the actiq.. lol

So I guess there was truth to what they were saying.. but holding saliva there in yer mouth wasn't any fun..
