Acne medication + MDMA?

Hi there all,

I have searched the net and bluelight, not found anything directly relating to me here, thus making a thread. Sorry if it turns out Ive missed something somewhere.

But anyways, Ive been taking Lymecycline/Tetralysal 300 for probably a year and a half now. Ive only ever taken E's twice, once on xmas eve 2010, and once on NYE 2010/2011.

I think Im going to be taking some E's at an event this weekend, but it only just came to mind about if this acne med might be an unsmart combo with MDMA? only things Ive found on the net is about accutane acne meds which isnt what I use, and there was no majority thoughts on if safe or not from what I saw.

From what i understand about my meds is that it can be potentially harmful to your liver but not necessarily. Any thoughts about potential harm if it were to be combined with E? I take one capsule a day of my med.
 
like I said, I have checked for quite a while, but will continue looking just incase Ive missed anything
 
well i believe tetracycline inhibits one of the enzymes responsible for the breakdown on MDMA. but i was on it and rolled, and dont think it did any more damage to my body than it wouldve if i wasnt on the tetracycline.

minocycline doesnt inhibit the enzyme though so its all just a matter of which cycline does and which doesnt. if your really desperate heres what i'd do.

-look up which enzymes are responsible for breaking down MDMA.
-google your medication, and the wikepidea page should say which enzymes that medication inhibits.

if they effect the same enzyme than you'll know that they interact. but all in all i think you should be fine :)
 
Couldnt really find anything that tells you what enzymes break down my med, but I had a gut feeling it should be a generally safe combination, probably just one of those lil thoughts you get before doing something that just stick in your mind when they really shouldnt haha.

I mean, both times Ive dropped E's before Ive never had any sort of pains in my liver region or anything, and never noticed any bad side effects...I guess Ill be fine
