First time poster, Long time reader. I was wondering if there was any preparations that i should do before taking acid??

any help would be very very appreciated

Beeeer - can be fun with acid, but it will blunt the psychedelic experience IMO. Just make sure you don't have to do anything important in the 12 hours after you drop it. Oh yeah - and don't drive on acid - you will crash :)
 
I cant comment on this method of administration, as i usually sublingually consume the substance but the next time i have some blotter in my possesion i will be trying the method of administration provided in the link above. Taking the rate of absorption into account, im curious too see if the onset occurs much quicker then my usual waiting behind the curtain period.

how long do you usually hold the blotter under your tounge? is it a matter of minutes then you swallow it or does it take a while to extract the lsd from the blotter??

My usual sublingual method is to keep the blotter under my tongue untill it has disolved into a mush, then swallow with a mouthful of water. Works a treat everytime.
 
I found that rooms covered with things... like a girls room(normally covered in posters) are really mad! And you gotta draw man... I swear bring a bag, discman, TRANCE! or psytrance... NOTEBOOK AND PENCIL!!!!
 
If you are gifted with any artistic ability, give it a whirl when youre tripping.
I wish I could write music :)
 
if its possible for you, take it easy the day before you trip.. and rest well before a trip.. going into any psyhedelic trip tried and worn out will only make the tried feeling amplified during the trip.. Also depending on how much you end up taking, and the intensity of the actual trip, make sure you try to refrain from doing "real world" tasks after the trip..esspecially if its your first time.. u may need time to refect on what happened... have a safe one.. you will be ok.. be patient and let uncle cid work his magic.. ;)
 
I would suggest dropping in a setting you are used to and with people you are comfortable with at first. Wait until 2 - 3 hours after you've had it, and then decide what you feel like doing.
 
The method of taking acid is fairly irrelevant.... I hold it in my mouth and let it disolve for as long as I can......but all that does is makes it come on a bit quicker as it will go to your bloodstream faster. It will not effect the intencity of the trip.

As for preperations:

I would fast or eat healthily (fruit and veg) the day before and the day of the trip. This tends to put you in a great positive mindset and doing this also reaffirms in your mind that what you are taking is something special that deserves respect and not something you are going to abuse.

As mentioned above....hide your carkeys! haha

I would also hide your mobile phone or unplug the phone as talking to random people on acid can be a bit interesting and not really something you want to deal with.

Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing....daggy tracksuits are the best!

Make sure you are in a comfortable environment with people you feel safe and comfortable with.

Make sure you can go outside and be with nature and the stars for a while.

Have a possitive attitude and above all...have fun!

Slightly OT, but not quite ;)

Going to a festivel this weekend and it's gonna be HOT HOT HOT. I'm concerned about storage techniques for my LSD.
Was wondering if putting the tab in a film canister with a little (deionised) water. Do you think this would protect it from the heat better than just leaving the tab in some alfoil in my bag or something????
 
^^Maybe leaving it in water in your film canister, per the way mentioned in the sublingually vs solution thread would be your best bet. If its in a dark film canister and in your pocket, it should be fine to sit there for a good few hours, if not a few days. I've left blotters in my wallet by accident for over a week and they were still FIIIIIINE.
