Acid for road trip (not driving) and drinking after comedown, thoughts?

So, I wanted to get some specific answers regarding my situation. I am going on a weekend away with a heap of friends. The car ride is 2.5 hours and me and a friend are considering taking acid before we go. We are going in a car with 2 others who will be sober and driving. We will leave at around 1pm and get there by 4pm latest. At around 9-10pm everyone will be drinking and the 2 of us want to join them as we rarely drink alcohol. My issues are in reagrds to whether we would be social enough to hold on conversation and not be spaced out or in our own world. Also after we comedown 8-12 hours after, we want to start drinking as I said. Is it alright to drink after or will I feel like shit, I plan on drinking lots.

In terms to acid dosage, I bought 5 tabs about 6 months ago from a fairly reputable person who said they were 150ug each. I took 1 and 1/3 one time by myself from this same batch like 4 months ago and it was a pretty pleasant experience and nothing could have really gone out of control. However I was by myself at home. As such I am unsure if I can be social on it yet. However I personally felt that 1 tab was probably only about 100ug as I definitely didn't have as strong of a trip as I expected. We plan on doing the rest before we go, so thats 1.7-8 tabs. Plus there is also the possibility of degradation. I don't have a huge deal of psychedelic experience ( done mushrooms 3 times, acid once, 25i-Nbome about 5 times, strongest dose was 1500ug of 25i-Nbome and 3.5 grams of mushrooms). I feel I am a very in control person and so is my friend although hes only done 25i.

So to summarize, would it be a decent idea to take around 150-200ug of acid (possibility of it being stronger but doubt it), go on a car ride with some good friends and then arrive, be social, chill and drink at night time.

If there were no Police Element on the freeways of America, I would say GO FOR IT because I've done this myself on a road trip to Minnesota that was about 6-8 hours long. It would've been an awesome time if not for the constant anxiety of thinking every car was the damn PoPo. I DO NOT recommend this plan, especially since neither of you are very experienced with psychedelics. All it takes is getting pulled over at the wrong time and things can get REAL bad REAL quick.
Even tho riding in the car, listening to music with friends is absolutely the SHIT on some good LSD - you don't know how you're going to handle the substance well enough to be going on such extravagant adventures. Wait until you get to where you're going, and take your doses there. As long as you don't eat more than 1-2 hits, you should be plenty social all night. Good Acid isn't as Zonked out and Spacey in my experiences as other drugs - the slight speediness of it helps keep your brains thought process working quite well, your thoughts just may be a little more outlandish than normal. Honestly, you and your friend might even end up being the life of the party, I would much rather chill with people tripping on Acid than get super drunk with friends. Alcohol tends to make people act like over masculine jock assholes, especially if single men and women are partying together. I just feel like Acid and everything about it is 1000X better than alcohol - even how most people act. People see how there words and actions actually effect the world around them when tripping, thus making them behave a little more intelligently than your average drunk. But, it does all depend on the person - have whatever kind of fun you want, it's your party - but I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend being in the car for 3 hours tripping. You will probably start to feel like the car is closing in around you, or that the drive is taking fucking forever. A 2 hour drive seeming like 10 ain't good use of your LSD.

if we are talking about a "straight line down the interstate" kinda road trip I would say nahh, but if it's more of the "winding backroads through the middle of nowhere" i'd say fuck yeah. the two most important things would be not having to worry about other people on the road, cop or otherwise, and being able to pull over and get out to stretch your legs, pee, etc. at any time during the trip.

I will say the opposite. Road trips on acid are a blast!
The only problem with this one is that the drunk or sober of you may not have as much fun as the trippers but if you know them well this shouldn't be an issue.
I have been on some wicked space shuttle rides, with the biggest issue being summoning up the courage to venture out of the module when getting to the destination ... and then going on to discover a bold new world

Haha, really good responses guys. This is in Australia and we have done several road trips before and I have never once been pulled over. There are not too many cops and I am not really worried about being pulled over, I have only been pulled over once in my entire 3 years of driving (didn't get my licence till late ) Most of the people there will be really good friends except 3 of them which I don't know.

It will be a really scenic drive down an ocean side road, the temperature will probably be perfect, it honestly seems like the perfect time. Your posts have reassured my socializing ability, thank you.

Also no one said anything about how it feels to drink straight after an acid trip, could someone comment on that, thanks

The thing about acid is though, and most psychedelics - Set, Setting,and Dose all play a huge part. You could take the exact same doses, in the same setting on 2 different occasions and have an amazing experience where you feel at one with the universe - and then you can have an experience where it hit's you so hard and so strong that you spend the first hour or two of tripping wondering if you ever want to eat acid again after this. It's such a unique and powerful drug - you must respect it at all times, especially if you're going to be out in Public or in a position of responsibility like driving around.
Your description of the scenery and situation tho, along with the fact that you are lucky as FUCK to not be in America - it honestly sounds like you have a pretty magnificent trip planned out to be honest. Have fun and stay safe is about all I can say. If I had the opportunity to do what you have a chance to do - I would definitely be tripping. Maybe try and find some Xanex or Valium or Etizolam or something just to look out for the less experienced trippers in the group.
As for drinking + LSD....it's not an awful combo. It just makes the alcohol barely noticeable in all honesty. Beer is good for when you first eat your dose and are starting to come up. They don't effect the quality of the trip the way that benzo's can, but they can help alleviate some of the initial anxiety it's common to experience when mentally preparing to start tripping. You probably won't get that drunk, even after your trip is mostly done. The speediness of the LSD keeps you from getting sloppy drunk usually, although large amounts of liquor can leave you with an upset stomach, nauseous, or even worse - stuck on the floor with the room spinning psychedelically. Just beware drinking too much too fast, and if you do drink a good bit of alcohol, drink PLENTY of water and stay hydrated or you will be hung the fuck over in the morning. Acid super dehydrates you throughout the trip and 12 hours is quite a while, not too mention you'll probably be running around going on adventures and shit like that.
Have fun my Aussie friend. I am quite the jealous American of the beautiful, more intelligent than were I live, country that you reside. Be proud of where you live - trust me, it's better than the "Land of the Free" by a LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Shot!!

You have to consider the fact that while intoxicated, you will be a distraction to the driver, whether they're sober or not. Plus if a cop does happen to pull you over and spots everyone but the driver off their faces, you're going to get that car ripped apart and searched. Do you really want to be standing around for ages on the side of the road, while high, with the cops in your face searching the car? They won't take it easy on you. Guaranteed to put a bad spin on the trip. You might think you're invulnerable from a bad trip now, but that's not going to last forever.

Just keep the dose low'ish for gods sake. Otherwise you become a danger to your driver and thus all of you. I have done this many times and I've had alot of fun. Cops are pretty lenient to inconspicuous drivers in my area though, I don't know how it is down there.

Yeah, I have considered that, 4 of us are going in a car together, 2 will be sober and me and the other will be tripping. Its only a short drive 2.5 hours, and really we are both very very in control people. I personally feel like I have enough psychedelic experience to handle this situtation, althought I know to respect the substances and know set and setting really are everything, however this particualr set and setting in my opinion will be awesome. After the 2.5 hour ride, we will arrive at our beach house to the sun setting. Either way, cops honestly are not even an issue, the chance of getting pulled over is like 0.01% and even if they do, they only just breath test the driver and let them go unless there is reason to be suspicious which I will give them none and there are 2 sober people.

Also Penthos, althought I don't know exactly how much the blotters contain, do you think 200ug would be alright? (as that should be roughly what it contains)

Well, I can tell you how much I'D be comfortable with, but it's different with everyone. Personally I'd say 200ug is a perfect scenic-road trip dose....for ME. I might even go a bit higher but I have 11 years of psychedelic experience.

It's a tricky thing to answer that question as I don't know you personally and don't know your friends and such. But if I HAD to hazard an answer, I would say 200ug is fine. Or you could take 100ug, test your peak a bit then take another if you feel comfortable. You can't undo a dose but you can always take more.

i think you ll be fine, though i wouldnt go for 200ug considering theres people you dont know at the destination.

also, the drinking would be ok, but if you are still under the influence of the acid, it wont be getting you too drunk. that, or you wont be in the mood for being with drunk people. personally i dislike really drunk ppl in general, and more so during a trip...

after the trip drinking might be fine but you will be kinda tired...

scenic drive by the ocean on acid sounds wonderful especially with good weather....

I think it would be a lot of fun since the ride is fairly short.
Car rides are usually great times with your friends anyway plus dope music and some blazing if your friends are down with that on the drive.
But yea the 2.5 hour ride is a perfect amount of time, any longer and the fact that you're stuck in a car might start to get to you
