Acid at home

So I'm doing acid at home in a few days and was wondering if there are any suggestions of things to do. I have done acid a few times before and am trying to get new ideas for activities.

Have a friend or 3 to talk to, spend some time by yourself with your eyes closed, listen to music, go on StumbleUpon, go for a walk outside.

Drawing and listening to music are two of my favorite things to do on psychedelics.

Just do things that makes you happy, like any other day.

It's best not to over think these things and just go with the flow. :)

If the weathers nice get your iPod and go sit in the back yard at night I just blast your music :)
Whenever I take acid alone at hone spend a good couple hours sitting in my back yard in pitch blackness with my iPod.

I get some pretty fucked visuals doing that, shadow people surrounding me, werid stuff.
I also spend a good amount of time in the bathroom when trippin.
For some reason I find myself staring in the mirror for the longest time xD

if your going to have a friend around dose them aswell, if not just solo trip IMO. Much better and easier to "let go"

I agree with the comments about listening to music(headphones strapped) and drawing. Going for a walk is always very nice aswell.

one word: SEX
not to be inappropriate, but this is ALWAYS a good idea. or if your flying solo, that works too. but give it a shot.
definitely music.
comfortable surroundings and chill lighting (candles are much preferred over unnatural light)

Do you live with your parents?

If you do I suggest you don't trip around them or while they are at home, wait until they're away on vacation or away for a good 12 hours.

Do whatever you enjoy doing while tripping. Going outside and listening to music are key. Don't drive.

I remember when I first took LSD as a teenager I played chess on the computer and later I went to the library with my mom and I got lost in there.

When I'm on LSD I love to smoke pot but I know that for some people this makes them anxious or paranoid and makes their trip confusing or dark, herb can do this to me when I'm on mushrooms.

Lying on your bed in your room and watching the OEVs or CEVs and meditating can be very nice.

Look for patterns in things or sit around and watch the visuals and see if you get any spiritual epiphanies or revelations.

im going to be doing acid in my house next week and am planning on looking at all my photos of when i was a kid and hopefully it will bring back happy childhood memories.

*Music
*Drawing
*Light-Hearted films, such as Disney
*TV Shows such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc
*Think about life/interests/etc
*Spend time with your pet
*Enjoy your visuals
*Eat nice food, I recommend more water-based food such as fruit - bread doesn't work with me tripping
*Look in the mirror
*Play video games
*Browse the internet

Hope this helps!

Lie down in the dark, close your eyes and listen to music you find expansive, awe-inspiring, soaring, that sort of thing. Really triggers CEVs and deep emotions and thoughts.

Was on 2.5 hits of very clean pure blotter with a friend to see "Hubble" in Omnimax format...

(highly recommended... last 10 mins so intense I was in tears of wonder and joy... VERY well written, narrated and edited, amazing accomplishment and the closest most will come to seeing a shuttle launch up close & feeling what its like to be in space, but best was at that ultra size and resolution the journeys flying thru deep space photos of star nurseries and clusters of seemingly infinite numbers of tightly packed stars along with the narration of the photos' meaning and context for us, then the return to Earth at the end [to that very tender & touching mandolin version of "Over The Rainbow"]... I really had involuntary tears running down my face I was so overcome... SO well done and inspiring... if more people saw this the world would be a much better place... check if its available now or soon near you especially in Omnimax format but anything on a big screen and go while you have the chance, the DVD wont be nearly as significant)

...really felt the super-clean lsd and it obviously enhanced the film emotionally but visually only had crisper edges, brighter colors, slight tracers... till that is we got to friends house, laid back & closed eyes as he put on Peter Gabriel's soundtrack to "Passion"... WHOA! Then I started seeing all sorts of complex moving architectures in vivid neon colors... after that opened eyes and things looked normal.

So closed eyes and the right music as mental/emotional turbo-fuel can really switch on closed eye visuals even when theres not much going on with eyes open, give that a shot.

Lay back on your bed with some good music on. Showers are also amazing while tripping.

Make a point of spending some time in the bathroom. With the fan on it gets crazy with auditory hallucinations plus every time I have ever visited the bathroom on tryptamines the walls fall in on me. I love it. Drawing and music is a great way to get lost in thought for hours

Strip off naked, smear yourself in your own fecal matter and terrorize your neighbors with a butter knife......WHILE WEARING A CRAZY HAT!!

But seriously, you should watch Space Ghost: Coast to Coast whilst tripping. It's the most mind-bendingly confusing shit ever.

Nothing wrong with watching movies or TV on acid. Done it many times and it added a great enhancement. And acid lasts so long that even after the movie I had plenty of trip left to make it home and listen to music in the dark as well. As long as you have the LSD to spare to try it in a number of different contexts, why not. But if it is your first time then yea, do it an way that the experience is an internal one.

Recall that Hoffman's discovery of the properties of LSD was like this. First got an accidental dose and felt weird on bike ride home. Later verified it by taking what he thought was a small dose, but was really huge we now know, felt weird again, but only when he laid down and closed his eyes and LET HIS OWN MIND RUN WITH IT did he realize the tremendous and deep potential for truly enlightening experiences. So that's your best ticket really. But if youve already had that kind of trip and just wanna kill some time, no reason not to watch some especially trippy DVD or something. Try Koyaanisquatsi!

Or "Grateful Dead So Far" if you can find it. A customer review on Amazon.com says "This is an audiovisual experience, with a concert supplemented by computer graphics and other special effects. The cover says it was designed to induce altered consciousness, and I think it succeeds. This is an awesome movie, I highly recommend it. There's much more here than just a concert video. Buy this now! I wish it were around on DVD."

There are some video parts you can find on YouTube that do look quite awesome and hallucinogenic. I wish someone had the whole thing on DVD or on the net somewhere I could download. Used to have it on VHS but got eaten by a bad machine!

Oh and I second the Space Ghost suggestion... pretty mind altering at times... people who made that are definitely on drugs!

^ YEA! The new iTunes visualizer is RAD. Its based on a version a program called "Magnetosphere".

> Speaking of Apple products, I do LOVE iTunes. Great all-around media handler, and their standard Music Visualizer, starting with Version 9 I think, based on a genius Particle System implementation called "Magnetosphere" is incredible. I could play music and stare at that for hours. Sometimes I get an impulse upon hearing a new piece of music "Gee I wonder what iTumes/Magnetosphere will do with THIS?" and am compelled to check it out.

> Here's a page with some stills and a few of the available keyboard shortcuts... a few more below
> http://www.everythingitunes.com/os/windows/2008-01-01/magnetosphere-visualiser/

More shortcuts (in addition to those at above site):

There are four hidden commands that aren’t shown in the menu. Pressing ‘+’ or ‘-‘ on your numerical keypad will increase or decrease the SENSITIVITY of the particles.

The ‘A’ and ‘S’ keys allow you to add or subtract the NUMBER of particles from the visualizer.

> PLUS: Seems Apple did their own Borg-ification of Magnetosphere, and alot of people prefer the original, which you can still find to download and install into iTunes for either Mac or Windows here - http://gizmodo.com/5048237/how-to-get-the-real-magnetosphere-visualizer-in-itunes Click the "slow download" choice at the Rapidshare page (unless you subscribe to that of course) and after a little waiting it will give you a download link.
>
> The original IS different enough that it is worth checking out, especially if you are into visual effects, animation, etc. It installs into iTunes under "Visualizers" as "Magnetosphere" and you can still pick the Apple version, still listed as just "Visualizer" I believe.
>
> I just discovered this recently, and actually I might like it better... more about MANY sparkles (looking at times like an immense tripped-out swarm of alien fireflies!), less about several big planets...and also it switches up more often and seems MUCH more delicately responsive to the music.
>
> Actually they both have quite a different "feel" and are both immensely cool and amazing. Apple's feels more "epic", but somewhat ponderous and less responsive... the original more delicate, fleet-footed and "Fairy-like."
